Really glad to read that. I was afraid we sold the farm for Miles. While he had a solid year this year, he was still three plays away from being 7-5 (UNC, Fla. and UT). Not a Miles fan, but pull for the Tigers regardless of the coach. At least now we are not tied to him good, bad or indifferent.
He was also about the same amount a plays away from playin for the NC.

But two of those three teams should not have been within two touchdown of us at the end of those games.

Again. You can generally say this about any of the major programs that play a competitive schedule. Such is the nature of team sports. A mediocre team playing their best game of the year against an excellent team playing their worst creates upsets every week in every major sport and college football is no different.

He is a family man before an LSU man. That's how it should be.
That's how I read Miles. He has this LSU job under control. Had he taken the Michigan job it likely would have meant alot more hours on the job.

Okay, let's see what happens if this year the "luck" goes the other way.

BTW, on the integrity thing, he also promised Jarrett Lee playing time in the Cotton Bowl. I guess he technically kept his word, he allowed him come in and take two knees (a position typically reserved for walk on players).
