Keehn would have quit the team.

Miles should have thought of this a year ago.

That's what I was wondering. I'm an old fart - graduated in 91 - so I'm not exactly familiar with Reggie's. Fred's and Sports I know well. From everything I was able to find online reviewing Reggie's it seems like there's a big todo about it being a bar run by racists. Now, how much of this is based on the Confederate flag they have behind the bar and the recent hubbub about it, I don't know. But if it really is the case that the ownership and management and general feel of the bar is that it promotes a racist or bigoted attitude then why would Dillon and company have decided to patronize the place unless they were looking for a fight?

Just curious. Not making any accusations, but there are some questions that need to be asked.

Does any other major college team have this rule? This seems like a disaster for recruiting. I would bet that he clarifies his comment soon and that it is for specific times and for specific players. You can't keep college kids out of bars. You just gotta hope they are smart enough to stay out of trouble.

My thoughts exactly.

Could have waited until after NSD

Y'all act like parents of football players are going to want to hear that coach Miles is just letting their 18yo run Buck wild in barrooms. Him saying this won't hurt recruiting

Citizens need to start reporting when they see a player at a bar with pics. That will shut it down fast.

They think Bama players hang out in bars?

Good. Nothing good happens in going to those kind of bars anyway. Trouble lives there.

Reggie's is sports, just changed the name.

Maybe just ban them from tigerland. They can still go out other places. You get drunk 18 year olds who think they are hot shite together, fights tend to happen.

Yes he can. Break team rules, no play football.

Maybe discourage it, but please don't make it a team rule.

Because the rule will be broken, and we could have good players disciplined or suspended when we need them.

So the players have no say?

Think there is no players on the fence this could influence?

Hmmm, 'roid them up and act surprised when they become violent.

But yeah, bars are the problem.

anyone who thinks this is a helpful, legitimate long-term policy either didn't go to LSU (or any university) or is very old.
