Miles Reference to Social Media after A&M Game

I remember Les referring to the impact of social media on his football players. Can anyone help me understand what he meant by this? I feel there is always more to what Les is saying when he makes statements like this.

He was saying how hard it is for players to avoid seeing stuff about the potential coaching change when it is all over social media.

It is coach speak for "I am a huge pussy. When the fans boo, it is only for the players, not us coaches"

People here can bash Les for whatever they want but throwing players under the bus is one thing you can't trash him for.
What he said was pretty self explanatory. People wanted him fired and there were tons of rumors going around and it was tough for them to avoid it. He was crediting them for still coming to play despite that.

His team consists of 18-21 year old kids. Their lives are deeply intertwined with social media. It affects them.
