quote:

I've described people that have no say in the game really are trying to get into the game with their reaction. I told [Jennings] that he need not concern himself with that. In fact, there is a likelihood that many of the people that made that protest did not play a lot of football and did not know what he was going through and frankly gave little thought to their momentary, negative reaction.

A quote from Les that I actually understand. Well damn.

For the love of God can the boo threads end? We have a new starting QB, going into a top 5 Auburn game on the road, and all people wanna bitch about is the student section (mostly) booing. This isn't breaking news.

Eta: for the record I agree with Les.

Miles should have told Jennings it was his (Miles) fault they were booing.

Seems like to me they were booing Miles and not Jennings. Given that his makes $4M+ per year he deserves to to get whatever criticism comes his way when he makes dumb arse decisions. Just like Sean Payton with that dumb arse fake punt call in the Saints game last night.

Sure, when the head coach stops talking about it.

Perhaps the booing got him to tighten up his Thinkin' Hat.

Regardless of who the boos were intended for, do you not think that they (along with "We Want Harris" chants) didn't affect Jennings negatively?

Yeah, cuz if we paid him $250,000 it would be ok.

His quote shoulda been "Shake that one off, we all have a bad game. Those boos, oh those were for my dumbazz. Next time we get you in we'll spread the D a little and give you a chance to do well, trust me"

I've got to admit... that's probably the best way he could have handled that.

If only his game coaching were as astute as his personal skills.... *sigh*

You really believe players can make that distinction, or that it matters in that moment?

He was asked a question and he answered it. He was asked a lot of questions yet you chose this one to make a thread on when there's probably 15 others on the same topic.
