i guess youre technically correct. If there were no fans, there would be no one to question the unusual decision.

The point is that, as far as we know, the coaches and players are fine with the situation. And they're winning. Nevertheless, fans have to have something to bitch about and sportswriters need stories to write about.

You don't understand what a qb controversy is if you think the fans created this one. Regardless of how it was created, we have one and we would have one regardless of what the fans said.

sportswriters will fan those flames as soon as they sense there is a spark....otherwise they are not doing their jobs.

i think the 5-1 comment was more of the sentiment of the coaching staff. The poster wasn't saying an actual vote was cast. Just that 5 offensive coaches thought that Lee was the QB we should have went with and Miles preferred JJ.

I have a hard to believing it considering who was on the staff last year. The only guys who can make the call on who plays QB is the HC, the OC, and possibly the QB coach. We didn't have a QB coach and Crowton was our OC. Crowton cannot run his offense without a running QB and he does not know how to run an offense other than his own design. I can't see Crowton prefering Lee over JJ.

Crowton never had a running QB at LA Tech when he put up outrageous passing yards every year!!!!!!!

Your talking about Tim Rattay. He may not be a dual threat but he was mobile. Your right, having a QB run out of the spread wasn't bread and butter early in his career but when he switched over to it, he was determined to use the hell out of it. That explains Hatch over Lee in 2008 until he got hurt. Hatch was an awful passer but can move his legs well.

There many links to examples of our qb controversy, but you need one you're too stupid to understand it.
