and I thought it was his best. He put losing the game on himself and said he needed to do a better job. I don't remember if I've ever seen him more down. Let's see if he will get this team jelled --- He definately saw the same game that we did.

Let me guess, they will identify the problems and challenge the offensive line.

Im sure he was disappointed in the offense like most of us. IMO the QB position is inexperienced and it shows, esp in a game vs a defense like that.

Good to see he took the heat and didn't throw JJ under the bus like many on the rant

How muhc more time until a QB becomes experienced? His senior year?

If he truly had an epiphany, I will see something new in two weeks.

When you are making 3 million or so a year to coach a team, you had better own up and take responsibility for failure.

possibly, but you'll never have a developed QB if you constantly switch up trying to find a hot hand. Saban not sticking with JR in 04 certainly affected his performance in 05.

The staff has to decide if JJ is clearly the future. If they think there will be competition in the spring for the QB position, then it wouldn't hurt to mix it up a little...but once you do that you're literally putting this season, and next, on the line.

I agree with you danfranz. I remember the loss to Ole Miss in 2001. The team changed drastically after that. Maybe this loss will help this team and will win the rest of our games.

we all said this was a 2 or 3 loss year, they have to come from somewhere. Our defense held them in check and our offense did what was expected against a defense as stout as they were.

Im glad. Our playcalling sucked. I want JJ to succeed, but Id rather have a classic pocket passer personally.

So this is what you expect from our offense? You should be on the Mad T.V. skit, lowered expectations.

He said only one real specific thing that went like this, "The movement of the offensive line is not something we're accustomed to."

This is coming from the same guy that makes a living saying nothing at all while he speaks. Remember, this is the best offensive line he has had since he's been here.

Defense is looking coached. Our offense is not put in a position to win. Jordan Jefferson didn't do anything last night that he hasn't done all season long.

Against Georgia we go five wide inside our own 20 on 3rd and 19, and JJ gets sacked at the one. Last night same situation on 3rd and 16 and we go five wide again and get sacked.

We know we're against a fast defense, but misdrection is used very little, and our one back sets always include Scott or Holliday. How many times did we move the pocket last night?

Jefferson's advantage over other QB options is mobility, but we really only see this come into play when he avoids one or two defenders before getting sacked by the third.

It was impossible to determine what the hell our gameplan was last night, and it definitley didn't show any signs of adjustment for the fourth time in six games in the second half.

Can we develop a QB? Can we coordinate a plan taking advantage of what we know we have to work with? Is our O-line gaining experience with the right guys?

One play really stands out to me. On the goal line opportunity from the 2 and a half on third down, we go two tight, line up and call a timeout. We come out in the same alignment and run a slow developing iso with Scott getting the ball at the five. Take a look and see what the pulling guard does on this play. It's tough when the calls from the sidelines are obvious and you have execution like that.
