Considering the way last year ended. Miles just kept doing work. His team like his revamped staff, is much improved. Miles gets a solid A for the off-season. Throw in an eligible Valentine and You have to tip your hat to the Hat. Not many saw Aranda coming, Saban included.

Miles' offseasons seem to take turns for the worst during fall practice when the players start going out.

I agree that Miles had a great offseason but as Harvey Keitel says..." Let's not sucking each other's di&$s yet".

Miles offered Aranda last season but Alleva stuck to his "Les Miles" clause and Aranda wouldn't bite. I don't blame him. Miles was stuck with Steele last season and I think he knew that would be a one season gig.

Everything points to a great offseason thus far. I will admit I'm not a fan of Cam at all. His offense is a hard offense to master and I don't believe it's conducive to the college game. There is too much of a learning curve for young qb's.

With this years recruiting haul and Aranda , the defense will be top notch. Can Cam hold up his end of the bargain ?

You mean can Miles hold us his end of the bargain. If the offense has been a mostly sputtering mess in the passing game since 2007, and you had three different offensive coordinators but the same head coach, who do you think is the problem? And Cameron was here the one good passing year LSU had on offense (2013) since 2007. Don't be so dense.

Yay, Miles won the offseason. Whoopee! We all got fired up last year at 7-0 until the first sign of adversity (Alabama) and then the team folded like a cheap tent. Wake me in November.

I'm kind of holding my breath until the season starts because I don't want to jinx it. We still have to get to kickoff with no arrests or major injuries. Injuries are a crap shoot, but having upperclassmen leaders of the character these guys have been said to have doesn't hurt for staying out of trouble. Our team has missed that in the past, and Miles got most of them to stick around.

Maybe the way last season ended was the kick in the arse he needed?

Everyone needed a kick in the arse, boosters and administration included. Hopefully the later learned you either have to support a guy 100% or fire him, anything else and you get what we've seen the last few years. Our latest hires seem to indicate everyone is all in, and that's a very good thing.

Hopefully being on the sideline will help.

LOL that you think Cam is in charge of the offense and not Leslie. Blame Leslie if you think our stone aged offense isn't conducive to the college game.

When you watch cam's offense with the Ravens is a 180 from what happens with the play calling at LSU. He would throw to the tightends 13 times a game seemed like to Baltimore. And passes to the running backs. Namely ray rice. Either he changed his whole system when he came to LSU or miles controls the offensive calls and game plan.

After watching late 90' oklahoma state offenses, I'm inclined to believe this is les miles offense and has been since 2008 when Jarrett Lee gave him permanent passing game PTSD

Cautiously optimistic. Don't know what kind of off season it was until November.

I watched the UF game yesterday. They threw it to the tes and the rb. Problem is the QB can't make those throws. So instead they throw it to Dupre, the best wr on the team, and let LF run it, the best player in the country.

Yet you people would rather not give the ball to your best players? Brilliant.
