Not only was he lost and confused he was blaming everyone else on the offense for HIS mistakes. The fumbled snaps - Lonergan's fault of course. The lob INT - Ware's fault of course. We saw the quintessential JJ Monday, unfortunately. Thank God it was the last time.

Mett could have been a much better option in that game because there is no history, no film, and the alabama team would have had to fall back into normal defense for at least a play or two.

Mett could have hit Randal deep and we're back in the game.

Total fricking waste to play JJ every snap. utterly predictable, paralysis by stubbornness.

YOu are less than a moron if you believe that, or you are so in the pocket of JJ or Miles you cannot see straight. Pure utter nonsense.

No realistic option you say.... Bull shite!

Lee was needed. If we play Lee we have a chance to win. Here's a time-tested quote for you:

"Never judge those who try and fail. Only judge those who fail to try." Miles is being judged b/c he never tried.....

For someone looking for a $1MM raise on Monday night he wasn't worth a plug nickel. It was the worst coaching performance I have ever seen. He made Saban and his staff look like geniuses.

Miles screwed up and everyone knows it. I'm not saying fire the guy but I sure as hell am not defending him. I would have put Lee in the 2nd qtr and then tried Mett if Lee couldn't get it done. JJ sucked from the 1st snap to the last. He looked lost the entire game. It was the most embarrassing performance I have ever seen by a QB at LSU. Miles and JJ were on the same page - the one that was missing from the playbook.

The definition of insanity is expecting a different result without making any changes...Early in the 2nd half we could see that the JJ led offense was going nowhere, so it was more unrealistic to keep JJ in there than to try JL

The reality of the situation is Lee had played so-o-o-o little since October that it would have been careless to play him in that situation. Miles' QB strategy bit him the arse on Monday.

You do realize that this sentence actually contradicts your OP title, don't you?

I mean, if the fact he shite on Lee for the prior 4 games meant he couldn't play him Monday, THAT is a SCREW UP!!!!

Miles did screw up by not playing Lee! Agree it was one of a multitude of sins that can only be described by combining all the negatives from debacle, fiasco, imbroglio, ad nauseum!

LSU was ill prepared to play in the BCS game. Les had 40+ days to prepare for bama. The reason Lee didn't play much since the Nov. 9th game is because Les shelved the two QB system to play JJ solely. So if Lee wasn't ready to play in that situation, it's Miles' fault. He made that bed so let him lie in it.

Why not get Mett ready? What everyone witnessed was a head coach and his offensive staff chose a lazy game plan and "took off" for the holidays.

Miles and staff lacked confidence in the players and played not to get run out of the stadium.

This reminds me of what they said about Guy Lewis, basketball coach for the Houston Cougars back in the 70/80s.

Lewis, after a player fouled out --> "I had to finish the game with four players because I don't have any backups with experience."

agree. seriously, no options? no "realistic" options? Wow. I'll use this analogy again. Its the seventh game of the world series. Your stud is on the bumb, gettin knocked around. The logic is because the 2nd best pitcher hasnt thrown in a few weeks u dont use him? He's 8 and 0, your stud is getting racked, your way behind, innings are passing at an rapid rate, but you have no "realistic" options? I call bull shite

No, Lee would have been backpeddling before he got the snap. The pass rush was way too much for him. JJ was holding the ball so tight so as not to fumble, he couldn't complete a pass. We haven't had a quality QB since Perrilloux was booted. No worries at QB for the foreseeable future.

Are you one of psychic's that work down on Bourbon?

How the hell do you know what Lee would of done if he were put in for the start of the 2nd quarter? 1 deep TD pass, LSU is back in and gains serious momentum. Game might shift LSU's way.

Don't say Lee would of made no difference.

This is the funniest picture I have seen.

For what it is worth, if CLM would have pulled a tigerfan out of the stands to replace JJ just to show us that he would be willing to throw the kitchen sink back at Bama, I would have been satisfied that he made every attempt to give LSU a chance to win. It would have been a change. lol

Lee might have won the game no way you can say he couldn't. He didn't get the chance. JJ couldn't win the game.

And LSU could not have had a better start with JJ the first 2 months of season.

Absolute bullshite. Who could have done worse? Put Mettenberger in if you don't like Lee.
