He deserved the respect of ending at the end of a season

The fan and alums who pay for LSU football deserve the respect of receiving a product that is indicative of the money they spend.

It was clear that nothing changed and they were not being given what they were promised. I think that called for immediate action to right the wrong.

As time goes on more info will come out but things may have been much worse than the outside world knew.
The overworking in practice, little access to the program for former players, etc .
Who knows for sure but I for one am looking forward to the next 9 weeks to see if we can salvage the season.
Hell yea I'm pulling for Ogeron to succeed... not just so he may become viable to be the permanent coach but because I want the team to win every game...NO matter who the coach is !

Yeah, me too. I only want this program to be successful as we. Just had some thoughts about the process and wanted to share them. I fully support coach O and hope they whip everyone from here on out.

Not really, they should have done this at the end of the last season. It would have been the dignified move to make. Now they look like 15 year old girls who don't have a date for homecoming

Can't blame Saban for wanting Miles to stay put.

I was a posi-tiger (Les supporter), but he deserved to be fired. He was granted a stay of execution last November and with that stay was an understanding that some things would change. Clearly, they didn't and he was incapable or unwilling to make the necessary offensive changes.

After four (4) games, the administration was right to fire him. Les deserved nothing in the way of "respect". Despite his professed love for LSU (and I believe it genuine), his actions/inactions were selfish and no longer in the best interest of this football program.

My thoughts exactly. All of a sudden, Saban's usual 'sure win' isn't a sure win.

Miles is an average coach who can't manage a clock, teach his team discipline, and make simple adjustments. See ya. Been waiting for this day since his opening presser. You can tell a ton about a person based on the way they speak....

LSU owed Miles nothing...he was paid handsomely to coach & represent the University.

It was time

Miles disrespected every player and fan by convincing a senior laden class to come back, imply we opened up the offense (serious we ran MOOOREEEE I FORM THAN LAST YEAR) and have absolutely regressed QB play.

Kind of my sentiments as well. Les had every motivation and reason to make some fundamental changes. He didn't. He may be a players coach; he's not a fan's coach.

He used his leverage for years to gain contract extensions and increase his buy-out.

Exactly. He never intended to go to Michigan, but still bled as much from us as he could. Every time Michigan came calling, Miles got an extension and a bigger buy-out, even though he never wanted to go there. That's called using leverage.

It was not a gift

he execute his job with grace and was extremely good representative of the University who I respect, but it was not a gift. Did he do more than he had to? sure

I wish him luck, but time to move on

I really hope our next coach's name does not end with the letter "s".
