The fallacy here is that gramps thinks all 4 or 5 star players ranked by recruiting services are destined for the NFL regardless what happens in college.

you do realize are kids from grand canyon st , morehead st ,liberty, etc. that were probably -1 or 1 stars out of hs playing in the nfl. Do you honestly think that is a fluke, or do you realize coaching might be involved. It seems there are a lot of you that simply don't want to answer my question. And it look like les may have to start lowering his aims in recruiting. God forbid if he ever has to actually coach his team to produce winners.

It is a moot point. Lsu doesn't have to worry about losing Miles to Michigan, or anywhere else for that matter. nest year I think AJ will make a run at the Heisman after all the work good ol les will put in on him during the offseason

My point of this entire thread is do you honestly think miles, or his collective staff, are capable of preparing one of those grand canyon st players and giving him the knowledge to play in the NFL.

To make it in the NFL. You must be born with God given talent. Plus must love to play football and listen to whoever your coach is and have the mental capacity to know the play book

I really don't know why we even have coachs. LSU pretty much recruits itself and any of us would be able to win with that talent. I'm sure any of us would coach for free. No need to develop with all that talent!

Be careful, they'll all be on your arse like they are mine. If any of these pumpers ever got outside the state of Louisiana , they would obviously shocked to find that other football think miles is a joke. I have family in Texas, Florida, and Georgia, all SEC strongholds that I regularly visit and they always jab me about miles. If any of you know someone outside of Louisiana, ask around.

I understand what the OP is trying to ask. I would say the majority of LSU players drafted during Miles' tenure would have been drafted almost regardless of what school they went to. I suspect some who weren't would have been if they had been coached by a more competent staff.
