Only to those who know nothing about big time college football and coaching it. The problem is they THINK they know something when they know nothing. They should stfu and quit looking like idiots. Ask any other coach and you hear nothing but praise for Miles and what he brings.
His record speaks for itself. There is a cool latin term for this but I can't remember it now. My brother is a lawyer and it's one of his favorites.

Doubtful...he can't recruit.

And its even more bare now. If you can't win more than 2 conference games in the Big 10 you've got issues...especially at Michigan.

He choked in the biggest game of his career

Plus...he's a douchebag.

LSU football DOES have a problem. Fans like you.

Carr just lost his FIRE to coach. They had some talent, But Rich Rod is changing the whole offense there and it takes a few years to implement. However Rich wasn't ELITE at WVA. Elite coaches don't CHOKE against a team they should CRUSH and cost them a shot at a NC.

As long as he coaches and speaks, he will continue to be bashed. Deal with it.

Of course our opponents' coaches will say that. Bear Bryant was practically homosexual in his praise of Charles McClendon back in the day.

They didn't use to say it much about Saban, though.

Please list the losing seasons LSU has suffered under LM. Thought so. Loser

Yea sure peewee. Tell us how you would have fired him right after the NC game. Dick.

No peewee, it isn't what our opponents coaches are saying. Coach Mac was held in highest esteem by coaches nation wide. Just like LM is.
Oh and peewee, I wouldn't throw homosexual references around too much. They fit you and your praise of little Nick too well.

He's had the #2 class in the BIG 10 in both of his years. Ohio State was #1 in 2009, Penn State was #1 in 2010.

No BIG 10 lights it up in national rankings because of location. For instance, Penn State was the highest ranked BIG 10 team last year at #12; Ohio State wasn't even in the Top 20.

He's got some young talent. It's going to take time. This isn't analogous to anything LSU has seen since 1994-1995.

He'll win more this year. Again, he is working with the bare minimum right now.

True.

Entirely true. But I'm ranking him on coaching ability, not being a douchebag.

Carr was still winning 9 games a year with "no" talent. That was some good firing, there, Lou.

(And RichRod cannot recruit - he's already "peaked" to use the parlance of our times. Nobody is buying the snake oil - and further, nothing can save Rich Rod short of winning football games - a lot of them.)

Carr did a piss poor job of recruiting and developing players in his last few years. No one argued about Michigan's talent level while he was there. Carr knew the cupboard was bare and he got out.

Again, #2 class in the BIG 10 two years in a row.

So if Miles was only making 1 million a year would everything be peachy with the Miles bashers?

Maybe somebody can collect some of their comments to bring up in November, especially since most of them are chalking the LSU game up as a solid "W" already.

Know people with mixed opinions, since most are not LSU fans. Guy I know who is a Texas Tech booster would take Miles over anyone, but really doesn't know about him outside of LSU winning the NC in 07. Its all about winning. People from schools that do not win a lot of games, historically and don't follow CFB a lot seem to like him, and people who are die hard football fans tend to ridicule him a bit. I think its just a pop mentality and people parrot what they hear.

Like most things in life, it's pretty much in the eye of the beholder, but Mark Richt and Rodriguez in your top 9?

I think in 04 and 05 Ga might have been the best program in the SEC, but since then I would rank them behind Fla, Bama, and LSU.

As to Rodriguez, he has taken a 20-6 Michigan program in 06 and 07 and turned it into a 8-16 program in his 1st two seasons. I don't see that as top 10 coaching results and another losing season at Michigan will see him no longer coaching at Michigan. imo

As I said, for me results would have Miles at the edge of 9 to 13 at this time.
