First time posting. Take it easy on me... As a coach, you have to learn how to adjust to your talent and adjust to landscape of football in general. You can't go out and get a spread QB and turn him into a drop back passer. We are going through the same thing Muschamp/Florida dealt with that got him fired. He tried turn spread personnel into a pro style offense overnight instead of gradually making the transition. I hate to always bring up Bama like most posters do, but last year what Saban did with Sims/Cooper was a great example of adjusting your offense to your personnel. They have to make it easier for Harris in order for him to gain confidence going forward through the season

You'll get hammered for posting that, but I agree with you

Agreed, for the most part.

This will be Les' 11th season. He's reached out time after time and picked up good coordinators. I think he's done a pretty good job at adjusting, that's why he's been here for a decade.

Neither of these things are a strength for Miles

As an LSU fan that was hard to watch, I hate to say it but Kiffen was a big part of that.

Until Coach Miles realizes that you need to break tendencies, the offense will not be of championship caliber. Throwing on first down would do wonders for the offense.

This thought has never entered his pointy little head...but I totally concur. The RBs could make hay if only we did this some.

Not necessarily.. I'm sure him and the staff are capable of adapting and changing the game plan. However, he's too stubborn to change his Schembechler philosophy.

Most offensive coaches when things aren't going right they take over the offense and let it be known that that's what they are going to do. For some reason CLM has never done that. This let's me know that he's ok with the offense. It just looks like time is passing him by. You either adjust or get use to being an 8-5 team

People ask like we are getting 20 year vets and asking them to play a different sport.

Taking a drop isn't THE hardest things a QB does. We are asking them to actually read a defense. And it takes a little time for a Spread or Pro style QB to do that.

Our coaches are very smart men, and I DO think you will see them mix it up more, but last year you had some new starters at all the skilled positions, coupled with a veteran offensive line, and I beleive we averaged 5 yards a carry on first down, so it is hard to question the facts.

Jumbo Fisher did that well.. Figured out the skill set of the qb and developed plays that displayed that strength.

The difference is Florida fired Muschamp for being inept after year 2, and LSU is still waiting for Miles to field a top 20 offense in year 10.

And it shows. I totally agree with your post but we've (Tiger Rant) have been saying this for 5 years. Please, dig deep and enlighten us with something that is unique and different.
