Just got back to LA and heard from my family that is close with BOS higher ups that Miles is pushing hard to renew the same contract for CC. Haven't heard that before and if true, it's really sad. Seems he really doesn't get it and is pretty sure of himself now and feels quite sure he cannot be touched.

Regardless of how you feel about Les Miles, the man has been in the coaching profession for 35 years. His style has gotten him to the absolute peak of his profession. He is not going to change, but there's nothing sad about it.

Miles doesn't tell Harris to throw the football 6 feet above his receivers or to completely miss them.
This offense is so close to where we want it to be there's no reason to change it.
Would like to see more stretchs traps whams counters and toss sweeps though

This should not surprise anyone.

Sounds legit.

We had better renew CC's contract. And we'd better extend Miles' contract too. Otherwise, he'll go to arkansas or a&m next year

Guess you are looking for another 3rd, 4th or 5th place finish in the SEC west like the last 3 years. The new fight yell...."doing Les with more"!

Miles is looking to get his good friend paid. Cam is at the end of the road for high paying gigs, he and Les both know it. So he's helping him out. Pretty simple.

I agree with one of the previous reply posters. I think the offense is fine. We have shown we will change approaches.
No offense can move when a qb can't hit receivers or receivers can't catch balls. At some point coaching stops and execution begins.
Cams offense would look totally different if half of those passes were on point or did not have the dropped balls.
Here's to hoping being a junior will be the answer for Harris

We have to retain Cam, otherwise Franks will decommitt. Oh wait

He's probably right.

I don't think Miles has ever been the QB coach while at LSU. Could be wrong...but I rarely am.

I think they should open up their own charter fishing business together.

With Miles position in jeopardy, it makes absolutely no sense for him to change OC's. No credible candidate will come to LSU until the head coach situation is settled.

'll say this one time and really it should be in it's own thread but the problem Miles/Cam have is that while the rest of football understand that it is better to get defenders out the way by formation and play calling, while they still believe in straight up man on man out physicalling the opponent., In other words by 'spreading' the defense vs straight up overpowering them. Also the rest of football world believes in deception and motion to move defenders to help open up plays as well, whereas Miles/Cam don't understand this concept.
For the first time in their careers this year, Miles/Cam started trying to implement some of these concepts but were held back by their own lack of familiarity with these concepts and by Harris poor QB play. I have hope for Miles/Cam in that they have finally started to understand the importance but they will never be true masters of these concepts as they started to late in life. But at least they understand enough to try to move in the right directions which may be good enough.
I know this post is wasted in the back of this crappy generic thread but maybe a few will read it and come to understand the true 'Miles/Cam dilemma'
