Yea there is this thing called eligibility Lester you might want to look it up. Milazzo has none left but Kling and Neal have some and would be good players for them as long as Neal isn't doing the catching.

If anyone can get a 6th year, it is him. He just has “it”.

Lester has a problem some players being criticized, but not others. It’s strange.

I don't think anyone is saying Milazzo is a great catcher but when your choice is between Neal who is a sieve behind the plate and is hitting .114 or Milazzo who is a plus defensive catcher and hitting more than double Neal's. 114 SEC average it is an easy choice for anyone who understands the game of baseball. I find it hilarious you continuously shill for a guy who is hitting .114. Let me say that again .114 if he doubled his batting average that would still be a poor average.

This is Auburn pitching

You mean the pitching that had LSU shut down thru the first 5 or 6 innings?

the facts are Neal is hitting marginally better but they both have stretches of nothing.

Also Milazzo is hitting overall better in SEC play.

lol Neal had a .433 OBP in April dude and hitting for some power

And cause I’m a fair guy, I only used his April stats

If you use his last game in March, he’s hitting .240 during that span.

The facts are he has been a much harder out than milazzo, is much much much younger than Milazzo, yet has zero grace, for whatever weird reason. Neither have been good defensively (none of the catchers have)

No the facts are Milazzo has more hits in SEC play in less than half the ABs. Neal has shown he can’t hit SEC pitching and while Milazzo is not the defensive wizard people on here think he is for some reason, he’s better back there than Neal too. This team can’t afford to have such a weak defensive catcher that isn’t making up for it with his bat in the slightest bit

This place would go nuclear if milazzo had a 433 OBP & 3 HRs over the last month & wasn’t playing lmao

Just because Neal was highly ranked coming out of high school doesn’t means he is better. Neither guy can hit SEC pitching and although Milazzo isn’t great behind the plate he is 5x better than Neal back there.

And if this was still March when Neal wasn’t contributing at all in SEC play, you would have a stronger point. He struggled, so they started giving Milazzo more ABs. The result? Milazzo started struggling at the plate in April while Neal started hitting better. Milazzo was the key to the victory last night, but it was his first good SEC game in awhile. Yet somehow, everyone wants to judge both players on March instead of April. They need to play both until one or the other starts producing consistently or failing to produce consistently.

And when Milazzo was younger he did not get grace either!
I don’t see you bashing any other player other than Milazzo. When Neal has a pass ball it is always on the pitcher. You’re just an arse who has always hated Milazzo!

Mike the Tiger71 you say Neal has begun to hit better? So I guess going from hitting .097 in SEC play to .114 in SEC play is better but how low do u want to set the bar for a guy who is also well below average defensively? I mean if he improved his average 100 points to .214 in SEC play he still would be way below average.

He’s always had grace. People once thought his defense was so good he would play in the major leagues. Like not just single A. The actual major league haha

Maybe you can call Ben McDonald and he can explain a little bit about baseball for ya… because if you listen to him talk about the kind of catcher Milazzo is it is very different than you!

No he has bashed Pearson and Milam before too. But he gets mad whenever Kling, Neal, or Braswell get criticized.

Just say it was a significant double that scored two runs when we absolutely needed it. Then let it go. This doubling down after he dicked you last year is just plain sad.
