I trust Cam will change things up this week.Unless something changes, running straight at State will play to their advantage. I'm sure Mullin is hoping LSU has the same game plan as last week. I don't think we will....please.

State's D-Line is legit. If LSU comes out in I-formation and tries to make this a physical game, I predict a long game for us.

MSU is gonna be hopped up. it's been a long, long time since they've beaten us. I think LSU is going to have to pull out all the stops to win this game. that means using the whole play book and hope like hell our young guys minimize mistakes.

if our OL doesn't step it up, AJ is going to have a tough day.

Will has little to do with it. An inexperienced QB with a Dural fixation leaves us a bit one-dimensional

Ohmahgodz you're right the fact that AJ hasn't thrown 3 TD's to each receiver per game means we're one-dimensional.

FWIW if im not mistaken, he's picked the Saints in their two losses...

He also said Jimmy Graham would win the arbitration with the NFL and be declared a wide receiver instead of a tight end.

MSU gave up 540+ yards to UAB. UAB threw for 400+ and rushed for 100+. One QB had 5 completions for 231 yards - you think we can use Dural in this one? UAB has recently been one of the worst teams in college football. Southern Miss' 1-11 team posted 62 on them and won by 5 TDs last year.

State does have some athletes, and if you sleep on them, they can make some noise. They have some really good D-linemen too (with the 3x SEC D-lineman of the week trying to make it 4 in a row). However, when you give up 400+ passing yards to UAB, you have problems. If LSU sticks to those bunch formations and tries to play 1890 ball the whole game, then yes, MSU could steal one from us. If we mix things up, spread the field and use ALL of our talent, then it should be tough for MSU to match us throughout the entirety of the game.

This is probably the most nervous I've been for a Miss State game in a long time. I think it's going to be a good game and come down to a big stop in the 4th to seal the win.

I guess its just surprising because he's supposed to be some local, LA, expert on LSU and Saints.

This "expert" also thought the Saints would win handily in Atlanta. He's no more an expert than posters on this board.

If LSU loses to MSU, it will be a long year for the Tigers in the SEC because MSU still looks like the 7th best team in the West after what Hogs did to Texas Tech

Just judging by Les' past tendancies, we will play the 1890 ball, and be in a tight ball game for four quarters, only to pull away late and win by 11. Which is fine, but you leave yourself vulnerable to a turnover or one big play biting you in the arse.

What happens every year when someone says that? Oh right, we win.

Why is this year any different? Especially in TS.

if they are ever going to beat us this is a good chance. our front 7 is not real good and their front 7 is going to force Jennings to beat them in the air.

Or for a half.

ULM gave us fits

It's usually pretty tough to run when there are 9-10 guy stacked up in the box.

I think we clearly showed that we are willing and able to throw the football in the game against SHSU. I just don't think we really needed to air it out in order to beat ULM. We still won the game 31-0, running against a team that "gave us fits".

LSU QB play will determine this one.
I think State is good enough to put up some points on LSU D.
If we get the first half QB play of Wiscy game, LSU will be in trouble.
If Miles is stubborn and doesn't let QB take some chances they could lose.
LSU is also one injury away to Jennings from really being in trouble, I do think Harris still has more upside but so far he does not look ready.

Moo St will give us fits for 3 quarters thanks to Les Miles philosophy, then we will pull away for the win. This has happened many times before in the past, it's a pattern.

I think Les Miles respects Miss St a little more than he feared Sam Houston. Look for a similar game play to the Wisconsin game. Hopefully now that Jennings has 3 more starts under his belt, we will not be quite so reliant on the power running game, but we will see.

I'm going to go ahead and call that on a key 3rd and 5 we will run a designed qb draw with Jennings and get the first down.

Florida State is an injury to Winston away from being in trouble.

Oregon is an injury to Mariota away from being in trouble.

Let's see what happens to Arizona State after they lost their QB. They will be in deep shite.

We were an injury to Mettenberger away from being in deep shite last season.

I never understand why anyone says that. I think 85% of FBS schools are an injury to their starting QB away from being in a world of hurt.

And please spare me the comments about how nice it would be to have an upper classman in Rivers still around. I think he has proven how great of a QB he is at Vanderbilt this year.

UAB cuts their QB loose and let's their offense roll, LSU does not.

At some point, we will lose. Things happen. I really hope I'm wrong. I hope we beat them by 4 TDs. But I see this being close and coming down to the 4th qtr. Obviously, I think we win.
