we'll see how that translates when it's 3rd and 12 while pouring down raining in bryant denny stadium and we're one possesion behind in the 4th

How JJ reacts come crunch time will go a long way in defining his improvement.

JJ and Jason Campbell are virtually identical. Before his senior year, Campbell got a new OC, Borges, and the light came on. Prior to his senior year, he was indecisive and looked lost on the field. As a senior, he was a totally different player. It can happen for JJ too. I know most people think JJ is a dummy, but if you really listen to him in interviews, he is not dumb. Plus JJ has 2 very competent backups. I wouldn't trade LSUs overall QB situation for anyone else in the SEC.

My good friend that graduated from Destrehan with him has said he is nowhere near the sharpest tool in the shed, and that's putting it nicely

Being a dummy and making poor decisions on the football field are not necessarily the same thing. Lots of intelligent folk have done the same thing.

I think JJ has all the tools needed to be successful, and he seems intelligent and athletic enough to move the offense.I hope he can do it consistently this year .
