Did that have anything to do with him playing at Bama?

I like McElroy.

I don't think McCarron could do anything to make me like him.

So calling LSU's offense out for the shite show it was meant his assessment was off base as a Bama homer. Now that he's saying good things (when deserved), he's growing as an analyst.

I actually like listening to McElroy's morning Sirius XM show. He seems like he really does his homework and watches a ton of film. Always seems knowledgeable and genuine, unlike most of the other college analysts that just talk out their arse after reading a few stat lines.

Ive enjoyed the McElroy/Spears combo very much so far this season. McElroy has been bringing fantastic analysis of all of the sec teams X's and O's.

Yes, college sports channel. It's called "the first team" from 6 am to 9 am.

You know what's funny, last week he broke down how LSU can spread to run, he actually diagrammed the Stack formation that got Guice on the little screen pass on a 3rd down, not even knowing we'd run that set

I listen to their show every morning on the way to work now. McElroy obviously puts a ton of time into watching film to be prepared.

He's one of the best in the business right.

I agree with plbjr with assessment of McElroy. I too didn't care for him at first but he has grown to be a pretty fair sports commentator. And as far as Booger, he is a very articulate young man. I think both of these guys will make it big in the industry. ESPN will scoop them up

I'm liking McElroy more and more.

I'm pretty sure I remember him picking us to beat Bama at the beginning of the season as well. I think he had us losing to Arkansas and Florida.

Got no problem with McElroy. He's been supportive of our program, in my opinion.
I think he and the other analysts understand the importance of having a competitive conference.

Compare that to Galloway and Kanell saying after the Mizzou game that we had the "same offense as under Les Miles" and there was no passing game. They didn't even look at the box score. So when you compare that level of homework (much less being analytical) then McElory, and a few of his peers, stand head and shoulders above the "sports leader".

Dude has been a really good analyst since Day 1. I don't know why it has taken this board so long to realize this.
