Maybe Miles was about as good as we could do and maybe 9-3 [ give or take ] is about what we were..everyone is not going to be Bama or Clemson...under the current regime, 9-3 looks to be impossible.....

I think the nature of the beast is ebb and flow. Keep Les? No, was time but not the clown we now have.

bullshite, Les was done here but we should probably have not had as much faith in our administration and retarded arse fanbase

The only reason we aren't on the Bama/ Clemson level is Miles inability to evolve our offense. We have or had the money to pay top coaches . We are the state flagship school and have recruited really well the last 10 years. LSU has a lot of pros, our AD and his hiring ability wasnt one of them.

Or you don't hire a position coach with an abysmal record as HC.

Les was done here. The problem isn't that we got rid of Les, the problem is out idiot AD jerked off for 2 months and had no coaching search whatsoever.

A basic mistake is pursuing only one of the top 4-5 names in CFB, all of whom are set for life, nothing to prove at a new school.
What was needed was a list of 5-6 up an comers, ambitious, creative. A modest contract with modest buyout was easily attainable with ... say ... Jeff Brohm from WKU. Look at the contract he signed with Purdue.. let that sink in .... Purdue and compare his first-year results against the contract and results of Ohhh.
There are other young guns out there. Quit thinking the same old names.

Clemson used to be ... Clemson.
"Clemsoning" was a thing.
Sabah changed LSU. He changed Alabama.
Dabo changed Clemson.
It's all about coaching and an administration that backs them up. You could put Sabah at any of the top 20 schools who are committed to investing in winning and get excellent results. LSU is one of those school.
But, our administration is broken and we hired Orgeron. LSU now faces at least a decade in the wilderness unless the cancer gets cleaned out. Not sure how that happens.
