Pretty good read.

quote:

Mark May of ESPN, the network that erroneously brought you Les Miles to Michigan on the morning of the 2007 SEC title game, went on a scathing halftime tirade against Alleva for "leaking" the Herman story while LSU's interim coach, Ed Orgeron, was still trying to coach a game.

It was another clown move by what's become an increasingly clown network.

clown network

ETA: for those dissing the poor little NWArky Gazette, here's the original Ft Worth Star-Tribune story

ESPN's downfall has been coming for years, especially after they went SJW...

ESPN sucks, but Fox giving Cowherd & Bayless airtime and huge contracts doesn't make me like them better.

Required reading for the O-No's that think Alleva just took his ball and went home.

( Texas fired up the money train and made sure it got its man)

LSU needs one of those trains

Basically Herman and his agent used LSU to drive up the price on Texas. He never really had any intentions of coming to LSU.

Unless there is some oil producing basin in Louisiana that no one knows about, we'll never have a money train like UT

We don't know this at all. As soon as Texas came to the table to play LSU packed up and went home .

I'm sure he and ESPN are devastated by the opinion of the Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette.

Of course LSU went home, but Herman is getting 5 mil a season and that is because of LSU. That's what I'm talking about when I said drove the price up. I doubt Texas pays him that if the threat of LSU hiring him is not there.

It was reprint from the Ft Worth Star-Telegram, and pretty salty for the guy to call out the evil empire regardless of the rag. In the past, probably a CLM (career limiting move) for many sports journalists.

Except Alleva let them off the hook. UT boosters woulda went to 10 mill had JA played ball.
