He didn't say we would lose. He was asked what would have to happen for us to lose.
Tebow was asked what would have to happen for LSU to win.
Spears was just bragging about Tiger Stadium before that and acted like he had tears in his eyes because he loves LSU so much.
I hate us sometimes. Geesh.

I believe they're strongly encouraged to not be homers. I don't think he believes LSU will lose.

I know it sucks to have a former player pick against you but I hope all of the SEC fanbases stop worrying about picks from former players. Bilas picks against Duke all the time! (And he is the best college basketball analyst by far) I think we will cover but its not a given that we will win this game. Being objective is what will make him a great analyst and its hopefully what they pay him to do. The guy loves LSU.

Sorry, I didn't read the full post. I was just making a point that if he did pick against us, we shouldn't jump all over him. It's stupid for our fans to jump all over a guy who helped LSU win a national championship b/c he is doing his job. Being objective is what they pay him to do.

I don't care if he does pick against LSU. He is not paid to be a homer. I just didn't like the bashing of Marcus Spears as a Saban guy right after he said really nice things about LSU and Tiger Stadium and what it meant to play there.
