Interesting that only three SEC teams were kings and LSU is one of them. Coach O isn't hurting the brand with Mandel despite the haters. LINK

Basically every other school that's won a national title in the last twenty years minus Auburn and add ND and PSU.

Did you even read your own article idiot?

It says
quote:

But to do so would have run counter to my thesis, which is that most programs’ prestige levels are too deeply entrenched to change much based on a couple of good or bad years.
so of course coach O isn't going to have any effect on it yet.

He has yet to even coach a game without the interim HC title. Give it time, and he will either prove that he can do it, or can't get it done. But, to say
quote:

Coach O isn't hurting the brand with Mandel despite the haters.
clearly shows you didn't even read the article that you linked.

Probably just scrolled down to the bottom, saw LSU's name and saw it as a chance to defend coach O. Idiot.

I did read the article moron. My point stands that the thesis that hiring O is seen nationally as a mistake that ruins the LSU brand is not supported. Stewart Mandel is a national sports writer and still views the program as elite. Go kill yourself.

It's not supported because he hasn't coached a game yet as the full time HC.

It would be nonsensical for Mandel to downgrade the program based on the hire alone. Him viewing the program as elite has nothing to do with Orgeron.

In this article these programs are ranked not by how good they are now or how good they will be in the future. He ranked them by the perception of these programs based on a combination of historical and recent successes in the last decade.

It's not a flavor of the month list where teams are ranked based on last year and whether or not they will be good next year.

That being said, Alabama could fire Nick Saban and hire a high school girls basketball coach and their spot in these rankings will remain unchanged.

His listing LSU as a King has nothing to do with whether he likes or dislikes CEO. It's because we've been consistently good since 2000 and because of our history as a good program outside of the 1990s.

a Dawgs fan to go around to sports bars in Montana testing my premise that the “G” helmet is not universally recognizable enough to merit a spot in the top group. (An “A” for effort, though it turned out I was right.)

I've been telling them for over a decade people do not recognize the G and associate it with UGA. I learned this in the mid-90s when I was in the USAF and a fellow colleague had the G sticker on the back of her car. I asked her if she was a Georgia fan. She looked at me and said "What?! That's the Packers!"

The UGA fans blasted me! Everyone knows the G is UGA!

Apparently you can't read. I said the brand isn't damaged which the argument made that we are a laughingstock somehow now. That in no way applies to performance in the future. You Miles holdouts are a little dense.
