i remember seeing the same thing said a few years back when brandon Harris came in for an in ineffective A. Jenning against auburn and looked great . I like the enthusiam but heck DE threw for like a 100 yards against JSU. If he looks good against an SEC team then i'm all for the skies the limit but until then i think we need to see what this kid can do on Sat.

I posted elsewhere pump the brakes as some of the drops were not great throws.
Vs better DBs maybe even more INTs, so jury still out for me.

Well, he is better than what we had so that is a plus for us. He's earned a shot IMO.

This is tRant. Logic does not work here. Rantards have already shite on one qb and moved on to another.

Rinse. Repeat

We know how this will play out. Miles will limit the effect the QB will have on the game. If Etling is allowed to throw more than 20 times all be shocked. And that maybe a good thing because it probably means LSU is winning.

Get your logic and intelligent thoughts out of here. Only emotional and irrational responses are welcome here.

It really is hilarious to watch this board shift from one extreme to the other.

A buddy of mine called it after Etling's first play that this place would crown him the savior.

We just love the way he gets the ball to playmakers.

This. The stat line thing is weak.

Actually, he shite the bed against AU and we lost 40 something to 10 something. Harris played well in a garbage time loss to MSU at home....

Were they catchable? If so, your point is invalid.

How he plays vs Auburn will be more important.

"Logic......."

On a sports forum?

It's amusing and a little sad to watch the delight some seem to enjoy as they eat our own.

Etling and Harris played against the same defense last week. Etling was better. He may not be good, but hes damn sure better than the other guy. Thats all that counts when making the decision.

C'mon Roger, Hail Marys are frickin catchable.
There's more to passing than throwing it in the general direction of a WR.

ETA: Kinda telling the depravity round here when the only bad passes are 5yds off target.

This makes no sense in the context of what actually happened.

Things I liked about DE, he sensed pressure, stepped into the pocket and saw the field fairly well. He made 3-4 bad passes out of 16, I can live with that. He plays a marginal SEC quality team this Saturday, I'll refrain from judging until then.

You're forgetting something. And I don't know how you could forget it since it's eerily similar to what happened Saturday night.

I have a feeling Etling will throw more INT's than Harris. However, he also gives the team a better chance to move the football. It's a double edged sword.

I got excited when I saw him progressed through his reads, stepped up in the pocket, and actually checked the ball down to his third and forth options. That's light years better than what we've been seeing out of Harris thus far. That's all DE really needs to do in order to back up the defense from the LOS and give Fournette room to do his work.
