Makes me wonder how many Titles we would have, had Saban not left?

Scary thought. I would say 4 or 5 would have been a real possibility. Oh well, such is life. I know, water under the bridge, move on. Hard to not play that guessing game in your mind though. Just bothers me to see it being done at Alabama.

Get over yourself.

At best, two more.

LSU doesn't get mulligans. LSU doesn't get favorable schedules through alumni in the SEC office. LSU doesn't get favorable officiating from alumni in the SEC office.

Saban had a lot of difficulty succeeding when he had to meet LSU standards. Bama standards aren't as difficult.

Saban will win it again next year too. It's scripted and predictable.

Learn to deal with it.

Why do some people assume that Saban would be the same coach he is now as he was then, or that he would be as successful then as he is now? This is a specious conclusion.

His success at Bama is a confluence of circumstances, experience, talent, timing, recruiting, coaching, some luck/good fortune, and other intangibles. He clearly is a different coach at Bama than he was at LSU.

You can't apply his current situation retroactively and assume it remains valid.

FIFY

And I agree on schedule, but Saban is a much better coach than Miles. Not only does he reload his team, he reloads his coaching staff, always seems to make solid hires

We have Stud. And Miles. For Offense. Awesome

yes he would have. 3 in 4 years, probably not. Bama is just treated differently thatn other programs. But he would have at 3 titles here at LSU.

How am I a pussy? Be honest and tell me you haven't thought the same thing? Saban has built a Dynasty at Alabama, the same process was sure as hell going to happen at LSU.

06 and 07. Those two teams were the most talented teams LSU have ever had and were by far the most talented teams in the country.

LOL

LSU fans chewed him up and spit him out for bad losses even after he won a title. Stop with the revisionist history.

Even assuming this, what is the relevance to this discussion?

LSU fans are sooo butthurt over Saban.

Not butthurt at all. Just life, and the questions we sometimes ask ourselves and wonder, "what if". Nothing wrong with that. Hell, its the same as wondering "what if Jarret Lee got into last years title game". I'm sure we've all wondered that and asked that same question. And like many questions out there, we'll never know. But it does make me wonder.

I don't think we would've beaten UGA in the title game this year. They were lights out that game and should have won
