Vandy 1990

LSU catches the game winning Hail Mary pass but gets called for offensive pass interference. Which is never called in that situation.

supa that was my call also. We were down at the half 15-0. I was sitting low right at the flag. Tigers were celebrating, Vandy player pointing at a flag close to the 5 yard line. terrible call.

The 2009 Alabama game is extremely overrated in terms of losses. People act like LSU was winning and the interception would have sealed it. The chances Lee drives LSU down the field there are slim to none.

This. Even if the call was comletely blown, it didn't single handidly decide the game.

It cost LSU a shot at a long game winning drive. Sure there's a chance LSU does it, but there's also a stronger chance they don't.

There are plenty of other games where calls pretty much single handidly decide the outcome (most of them coming at the very end of the game of course)

I still can't wrap my mind around the pass interference call, then no call.
The announcers even said "How can he do that."

Worst officiated game I've ever seen. Our receivers could've pressed rape charges.

I don't dispute that. What has always irritated me about this one is how the SEC handled it.I'll give the refs' call on the field a pass because it was close. But not only did the replay guy blow it, we found out that the "guest" replay guy or whatever he was was noneother than aptly named Dick Burleson of 1989 Florida fame.Prior to the Monday afternoon immediately after the '09 game his website listed some connection to Alabama Crimson Tide booster clubs.

2009 was also the SEC's apology tour. Georgia was apologized to for an unsportsmanlike penatly vs LSU (while Charles Scott's virtually same penalty was ruled accurate) and Arkansas vs Florida later. SEC didn't say a peep about this abomination in Tuscaloosa.

Mike Slive is the most overrated commissioner in sports history.

I don't know about LSU, but I'm pretty sure I know which game that would be for Tennessee.

Aw-barn deserves endless piss baloons for that bafoonery in 2006. That offense that season was filthy! Russel, Hester, Doucet, Bowe, Davis, and Lafell. All NFL Draftees.

Of course there are other calls that directly impacted the game too. People only seem to bring up the interception.

Jefferson getting speared right in from of the official. The block in the back on Julio's TD.

Vanderbilt, I believe Curly Hallman was HC. Last play in regulation they threw a pass into the endzone. LSU defender reached behind to touch the Vandy WR. Meanwhile another Vandy WR tackled another LSU DB, three yards away. They called interference on LSU, gave Vandy first and goal on the one. They scored.

Is this sarcasm or do you have this game 100% backwards as to what happened ?

2009 LSU @ Ole Miss..

Les miles signaled spike with no time on the clock after jefferson heaved a deep pass to tolliver and it was caught in ole miss red zone.. He should have had the field goal team ready to kick, if there was enough time left, and if not had another play prepared

Horrible, obviously ref-induced, terribly unfair loss that cost LSU a shot at the national championship. Without that loss we finish 11-1 and get a rematch with Florida in the SECCG. So it definitely cost us a 3-peat as division champs (2005-07) and cost us a chance to win the conference title and get a berth for the national title. Not that beating them is a sure thing, but we'd definitely be in the hunt for the title and a win over Florida would probably put us in.

How does JR take a sack with time running out? just get rid of it and we got like 4 more plays.
But yea the Refs screwed us all game. I remember i was pretty young and nearly cried after that loss
