No it didn't. Actually, would have been the exact same result had Jordan been out there.

No way he even has a play on that ball and if Reed is hustling out the box he makes it to second easily.

It was just so unnecessary. It's just how he is though. He always over manages the post season.

How is putting in a superior defensive player up 1 in the bottom of the ninth over-managing?

So Jordan is good enough for 8 innings, but that last inning, we need a "superior defensive player"?

That ball was up there too long and Reed is one of the fastest players in baseball.

Well offense matters a lot for the first 8 innings (hence Jordan), not as much in the bottom of the 9th. I feel like that should be obvious.

Only thing is by the time that ball hits the ground with Reed's speed he is already standing on second
