Bloat on the payroll. Franques could handle that stuff in his sleep. Much less the fact that the LSU AD has an actual TRAVEL DEPARTMENT that coordinates that crap.

You people are nuts. We've had a player batting around .500 all year and he slumps at the end of the season. The players around him in the order were all hitting well over .300, and they slumped. We didn't need a new hitting coach when Rhymes was batting .500, did we? But they slump in the regional and super-regional. Now we needed a hitting coach. Sheez. This is insanity.

Rhymes could hit when he stepped on campus.

Well, our .500 hitter reserved all his praise for his hitting coach at LSUE, so what does that tell you about his thoughts on Paul's Godson?

Wouldn't the hitting coach be responsible for helping hitters know the pitchers they will face and how to approach them, as well as the defense the upcoming team plays? I don't imagine college hitters spending tons of time studying for hitting.

Rhymes and Katz were pretty much the two hitters in the lineup that even Javi couldn't foul up.

The guy needed to be let go two years ago.

In all honesty, he never should have been given the job in the first place.

What is it with LSU head coaches and their stubborn refusal to change things that aren't working?

Sunday night was eerily similar to Jan 9th. Everybody around me at The Box felt the same way.

Really? You're just going to throw some comments out there and pass them off for "stats"?

Well over .300?!?!? Get the hell out of here with that nonsense. Allow me to provide you the individual batting averages...

Raph Rhymes .431
Mason Katz .320
Austin Nola .299
Ty Ross .292
Tyler Hanover .281
Tyler Moore .261
JaCoby Jones .253
Arby Fields .203
Jordy Snikeris .303
Jackson Slaid .271
Grant Dozar .265
Chris Sciambra .246
Alex Edward .243
Jared Foster .218
Casey Yocom .211
Beau Didier .167
Evan Powell .143

Go ahead. Show me where "the players (plural) around [Rhymes] in the order were all hitting well over .300"? I'll wait...

when the hitting coach is not responsible for the team's lack of hitting, it is a sad day, indeed.

Look at what happened to the Braves when Terry Pendelton left. I guess that's the players fault because they can hit already, hell they're pros. Why are there coaches anyway if they can already play?

At least Miles had Malleveto and Crowton move on. He found them jobs.

PM is willing to die by the sword for Javi.
