Please tell me the last time Mac Brown fired an assistant coach.

Major Applewhite is the QB coach at Texas.

Maybe Mack will fire him and Miles can let him take over Crowton's job.

I know it's hard to believe but things are worse in Texas than LSU.

Oh I believe that one... It's hard to maintain that air of pompous superiority after your team has lost to Iowa State. If A&M beats them it will be definitive proof that the apocalypse is upon us...

You don't say that stuff to the media.

It's better than blaming your players for coaching mistakes.

Baloney. LSU fans would get behind Les in a heartbeat if they knew he actually held people accountable. The results on the field certainly do not suggest he does.

this x 1,000. A lot of peoples biggest problem with Les is that he shows no sign of being proactive in righting the ship. Mack Browns simple statement went a long way in at least appearing like he wants to win at all costs. Whether he will fire someone or not is irrelevent. As. Stated, people peg miles as hard headed and clueless. If he just went as far as making a statement to show that he's even aware that there are major issues on offense, it would go a long way with fans. But as it stands, he continues to say we're getting better every week and adjustments are being made. There has been no real evidence of this in over 2 years, though, and as a result it makes anyone who follows LSU doubt his accoutability.

I like that. It would be nice if Les would do this.

Disagree. I'll take a average season once every decade over Les Miles' body of work.

LMAO....I believe brown has exactly 3 (might be only 2 wins) wins more than les miles has over the 5+ years miles has been at lsu, and each have a NC......while texas plays in a much weaker conference.........his body of work? lmao....i don't know if many of you watched the NC game last year....do you recall the last minute of the first half.....??? Brown deciding to make something happen with a freshman qb....turns the ball over resulting in td....probably the difference in the game.....miles would have been completely destroyed in the media and by fans for that move..........all these guys that you guys love as coach, most do not have the wins that miles does, and even the best have only a couple more wins......just wow.
