T-Bob called him out this morning for hand fighting and after the whistle shite with offensive linemen instead of actually trying to make a play.

It’s time for Jordan Jefferson take that spot for the majority of snaps.

Can you make a play after the whistle?

Can the coaches just admit what almost everyone here knows- Masson Smith is a bust. He was over-hyped and has never played up to his potential. Unlikely things are going to change. Sit him.

Kelly tried to give him shade last week. There is no where to hide when you play a running team, give up 300, become a national joke and make zero plays.

I am 54, out of shape, and as slow as you can imagine. I could have had the same impact on the game as Smith.

This guy better come back to school because he looks like a shell of himself. Needs a full offseason to really get his legs back underneath him. Both LSU and Maason will benefit from an extra year.

Good one Jim!

Maason is hand fighting the offensive linemen instead of attempting to shed his block and make a play.

Smith needs to ride the bench for a while, he is just biding his time to NFL. Lazy and out of shape. BK needs to give him a kick to break him out of his dreams.

You sound like you know a lot about the defensive line. I’m sure Pete Jenkins will get the future 1st round draft pick into alignment

You should rewatch the game and focus in on 4 players. Perkins, Maason Smith, Greg Penn, and Sage Ryan.

After, report back to me what you think any of these 4 players brought to the table during this game, because it ain't much.

Smith is gassed after 3 plays. Takes MULTIPLE plays off, getting pushed back 19 yards. On one play I watch the guard ABUSE him, put him in his knees. That same play the RB ran right at him and he half heartedly put a hand out instead of trying to make the tackle.

Greg Penn and Sage Ryan WHIFFED on multiple tackles. Looked like they didn't want to be out there most of the game. Sage has no idea what angles are.

Perkins is getting bodied on every rush unless he comes unblocked. Our dumb arse fans keep reciting the same line "let him do what he did last year" not looking at the field and realizing he is. He played a glorified DE role in the 4th and didn't do shite with it. He can't cover zone, blitzs every play wide leaving a MASSIVE hole for their team to run through. He has 0 stunts, no swim move, no spin, he has no power at 220 lbs to bull rush anyone. Their RB took him off his feet once. He couldn't bring down the QB, so he just handed the ball off for a 4 yard gain.

This isn't a team that plays with heart. They have no leaders. No one on that team is holding them accountable.

If you think Maason Smith is a 1st round pick at this point, that tells me all I need to know about your knowledge of football.

Where would he go. He will transfer to somewhere like TCU or even Colorado.

I have been saying this. Perkins is a problem if he is in space or if the LT is incredibly stiff. He chased down a bunch of plays last year. That is pretty much what he is doing this year.

Penn is pretty solid, but gets no help from Safeties filling correctly.

I do not understand not playing the young guys. They may still remember their high school coaching.

He’s getting drafted in the 1st round due to his size & potential, not on field performance or stats

He has been arse. Looks like he’s playing at 25% effort most plays. Maybe he’s hurt still or just out of shape.

You’re saying that based off of his on-field performance, which was never why he was listed as a potential 1st round draft pick.

Is he still 6’6 & 315 lbs? Y’all obviously don’t understand how the draft works

Need to tell him to "submarine", like we used to with weak/small kids in park football. Tell them dive on the ground at the lineman's feet, at least they plug up that hole by laying on the ground.
