Maybe, but IMO that's bush league football.
Sorta like that wildcat shite last season with spencer ware.
It's gimmicky crap IMO

Who gives a shite?

If it makes our offense better why wouldn't we use that option?

Do you want Les to play any qb besides ZM in any game this season where its not a blowout and ZM isnt hurt?
Simple question.

That's kind of odd.

I think Les means we should have had a bigger lead in the game and the less experienced guys like Jennings should have had more meaningful plays.

Why does everything Les says have to be interpreted and dissected- and even then you don't get a real answer? We need a special software that analyzes Lesspeak.

Les sure does have a lot of you brainwashed into thinking a "dual threat qb" in the red zone is the only way to go. Last time I checked, Alabama has won 3 out of the last 4 national titles and they keep their starting quarterback in at all spots on the field. How many times did the Baltimore Ravens pull Joe Flacco in the red zone last year?

You don't HAVE to have a dual threat qb in the red zone if you keep the defense spread out and balanced on the run/pass threat of your offense. Bring in 3 tight ends and two backs and you might have problems moving the ball 8 yards in three plays.

We were very close to completing several td passes last week (non-pass interference calls and 1 drop). No need to completely change what we were doing. Just fine tune it and we will be fine.

All of that is well and good. But do you think a coach should get his backup some reps at every opportunity? Just in case his starter goes down? What about his leading candidate to start the next year who is a true freshman this year?

I am so happy Coach Miles gave RP lots of reps behind Flynn. Otherwise we probably only have one BCS title. Some of you guys seem to be against AJ getting any reps at all costs. I believe it is good coaching to get your backup ready in case you need him. Bad coaching if you don't.

Yeah.

Let's trust Les to manage a 2-QB offense.

What could possibly go wrong?

Well we could win a BCS National Championship like in 2003 with Flynn and RP.

I'd like to think he will get a lot of mop up duty to get comfortable and maybe a few plays here and there to throw the defense off. We need to have a back up just in case with as much in game experience as possible.

You were doing ok til that part.

I'm pretty positive there isnt any LSU fan that doesnt want to see AJ or Rivers get some playing time when game is in hand.
We've covered that.
Disagreement comes in when trying to make AJ and ZM, RP and MFlynn... yes there are those here that want to see that.

I dont get some of you people.
We finally have the qb ALL OF US wanted and select few of you here are foaming at the mouth for a true freshman to play.
The dumbassary on this board and in the fanbase never ceases to amaze me.

I agree with you. This shouldn't be a two QB system. I think Cam knows mett is on a different level than the other qbs on the team. He has the experience, too.

Have heard and seen nothing but the polar opposite. Jennings is a rare find. He'll be more than fine.

Yes, we have backups with no experience. Having a set of 5-10 plays that your backup can execute in a meaningful game is a good idea. Now I probably wouldn't put him in if the game is on the line in the 4 quarter, but letting him run a set in the 2nd quarter with a 10+ point lead isn't a bad idea, assuming the 1st team guy is playing well.

This board is never satisfied with anything and they always think they know better than the coaching staff. I saw some dipshit post yesterday "Lost the top recruit in LA yet again, way to go Les". There are seriously some dumb fricking people that post on this site. It's amazing.

Well I guess you are ready to be on the sidelines with your scrimmage experience. Be sure to let Miles know.

Yet Coach Miles and Coach Cam believes he is. Now who should we go with, them or you who saw two scrimmages? I guess you stayed at a Holiday Inn Express as well.

Meh, I'm pretty sore about losing CR myself.
1) he goes to west Monroe
2) chose Alabama

I remember the feeling at bayou bash when joe McKnight chose USC.
Maybe he'll change his tune before feb.
