Each bowl is allowed to spend up to $500 in gifts for 125 participants from each school. Also, each school is allowed to provide an additional $350 in gifts from its own budget to the players.

The Sports Business Journal reports that these gift packages provide a gift niche that is worth more than $12 million in direct spending.

Here's the haul of gifts for each SEC school from a master list including all bowls:

Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl (Kentucky): RCA HD camcorder, Fossil watch, Majestic fleece pullover, New Era hat, Ogio Metro laptop pack.

Advocare V100 Independence Bowl (Georgia): Sony gift suite, Timely Watch Co. watch, New Era hat, football.

Outback Bowl (Auburn): Best Buy gift card, Pro-Swiss watch, Jostens ring, hat, Outback Steakhouse gift card.

Capital One Bowl (LSU): Party at Best Buy ($420 limit), Timely Watch Co. watch.

Papajohns.com Bowl (South Carolina): RCA HD mini-camcorder, Oakley Surf Pack backpack.

AutoZone Liberty Bowl (Arkansas): Westinghouse 19-inch LCD HDTV/computer monitor, Fossil watch, Nike training shoes, Nike sport sandals, Nike sunglasses, football.

It's a Gift pack from these company's, like a ipod with a card for free downloads. And maybe Sony would throw in some Headphones with a free T-shirt etc ... It changes every year, also depends on the Bowl and its sponsorship.

I think that is a pretty sweet gift!!! I spoke with a few of the players and they were psyched about the swag gift from BB. Apparently Best Buy closes down to prevent the players from being hassled by the public and the players from each team get to come in and shop for stuff spending $420 on sweet stuff.

That's pretty badass. I know he was joking, but its got to be a lot better than the gift Michigan's players get.
