We are talking about crowd chants.
Okay. You and ALL of your co-workers go in your boss' office and in unison, yell STTDB.
Let us know how it turns out.

I said that is what the chant states and for that there is not denial.

Chinaman's arse is racist. That's worse than STTDB.
I'm sorry that I can't name a single injured player who drew cheers from the student section, but I can tell you that I'm not making it up, and the 2002 Alabama game was the worst I'd seen. The students cheered for three injured players in the fourth quarter alone...and these were the students who stayed for that whole shutout and you'd think were the "good" fans.
Being drunk around kids is way worse than profanity. Come on.
Sorry, but this is your issue right here. You're trying way too hard to make your point that you're being dishonest. Poll as many people as you like and tell me what is more offensive out of STTDB and being drunk. The results apparently will be surprising to you.

No, but to be indignant about bad words but not racism, cheering for injuries, and public intoxication, all of which are actually worse, is dishonest and hypocritical.
Again, your warped sense of what is worse is killing any argument you've made.

Deriving happiness from someone else's pain is worse than dirty words no matter how many people think otherwise. Public intoxication is worse than dirty words, and by virtue of the fact that public intoxication is illegal and nobody wants to make dirty words illegal, I guess we all agree on that one anyway.

Being publicly intoxicated in front of children on a college campus is worse.
MOST people I have seen can handle their liquor. The students and other patrons that are "falling down drunk" don't make it inside the stadium.
Only one time in 30+ years of LSU football did I see someone lose his groceries down the back of an LSU fan during the game. If it had been me, I would have demanded his arrest for public intoxication.
Being drunk is one thing, puking on someone is vile.

Actually it is, because offensiveness is subjective.

What subspecies of Tigress are you? Your handle states that you are a female tiger, and there can be no denying that.

how is that not going back and forth?

quote:Public intoxication is more offensive than STTDB in that one is an actual legal offense and the other is not. Whether or not you choose to take personal offense at either is entirely up to you.

Racism is more offensive than dirty words, and that is an obvious historically proven fact. Whether or not you choose to take personal offense at either is entirely up to you.
Cheering for a player's injury is more offensive than dirty words on the basis that cheering for a player's injury has forever been looked at as taboo at sporting events, whereas dirty words have never been taboo. Whether or not you choose to take personal offense at either is entirely up to you.
"That is offensive" and "I feel offended" are not the same thing. Public intoxication is a legal offense, so it is offensive. Racism is, in this sense, a social/societal offense, so it is offensive. Cheering for an injury player is also a social/societal offense that goes directly against the universally-accepted code of athletic spectators, so it is offensive.
STTDB is not offensive; it is something about which some choose to feel offended.

I'll just say this: One way or another, LSU will get their point across. They're the ones throwing this party.
Like it or not, The House Always Wins.

I'm sorry, but you look like an idiot constantly repeating this. It is offensive to a massive amount of people. Just because you aren't offended by it doesn't make it any less offensive to others.
The world doesn't not revolve around you.

quote:Exactly my point as well. When people do things that I don't like, I don't call for them to be removed from football stadiums. To those who are policing language, I say that the world doesn't revolve around you and your arbitrary moral preferences, much less to the point of installing surveillance cameras and removing "offenders."
The world doesn't not revolve around you.

If you throw a party at your house and I bring along my dog and he then proceeds to shite on your carpet...im fairly certain youre not going to evaluate this situation and say "well it's his house too."
