You could get a home run hire at that time. He'd just need to be out of coaching this year. Like...Gruden for example.

I'm really hoping the admins take note and ban you before news breaks that he's staying. Then you can watch us all make fun of you with no ability to post. I wonder what name you're going to use to try to sign up again.

Quit trolling, you pathetic man-child.

This is when you know the fan is a newbie to LSU football. Too bad you weren't around in the 90's to see what bad really is.

Give him a raise? Are you nuts? Your statement is backwards. Les Miles would be stupid to leave LSU. Let me ask you this. Do you think Miles is the kind of coach that can come in and turn around a program? I do not. He's paid enough for what we get.

would give him a bonus if he hires a new OC and puts a top 20 offense on the field next year. But I absolutely would not offer him more money, he dozens not deserve it. He's already the 5th highest paid coach in the country right now.

Bingo we have a winner.......

We don't need our program turned around, so that is a completely asinine argument. LSU as a consistent top 10 football team is worth the extra money. Rolling the dice on a new hire at the peak of our success would NOT be worth saving $5M in this business.

Are you crazy? What did he turn around here? We were a year off a national championship when he came here. He got as lucky as it gets winning a 2 loss national championship and to be quite honest has done less with more the last 5 years.

We have finished 17, 8, and 2 the last 3 years. You are a moron. He did not do less with more. LSU was LSU then and is LSU now. What you perceive as "more," he was responsible for. He brought in those studs. He brought in an undervalued Mo Claiborne. He brought in the Honey Badger.

Lets just say LSU fired Les after the 08 and 09 seasons like many on here wanted and the new coach went undefeated in 2011 with an appearance in the national title game. Would you say he turned it around or not?

I'm not saying we should get rid of him and my point about turning around a program is not asinoine at all. To be paid more than he is now is just crazy. The OP wants to give him a raise. I just think making more than he does now would be determined by what kind of coach he really is. You pay coaches that can turn around a program that kin d of money not one that barely gets it done with great talent as is. We've not had a good offensive coordinator in what 6 years? Maybe use the extra money for that. Good lord there are some idiots on here.
