Can some one explain to me why LSU is going to Lambeau field and we are playing them in Houston. We should be playing them in the Superdome. Don't talk to me about recruiting, we get more players from Florida than Texas. We will now be fourth behind Texas,Oklahoma,Texas A&M then LSU as far as choices for recruits. Let's play a game in Miami that is a better recruiting area than Texas. Tell me some people from Texas that panned out, except for the offensive lineman from North Texas and Michael Brockers I can't name one that had a huge impact recently. Most of them were regular players.

Houston is full of LSU graduates, is relatively close to BR and LA & TX are border states. Playing an opener in Miami seems stupid IMO

So you want to give up on recruiting Texas?

i think it is a great idea, since I live in H-town now. I think our starting safety is from here as well.

Also, just off the top of my head:

Jalen Mills
James Hariston
Craig Liston
Russell Shepard
Chiron Black
Jarrett Lee

All from Texas

lol...no.

Current roster has 9 from TX and 5 from FL. And history would show that we recruit more from TX than FL.

Negative.

Not saying that it's not a hot-bed for talent, but I don't think you know how this works...

How far back in time shall we go?

Oh, and BTW, you're thread title sucks.

Wasn't Joe Addai from Texas?
Plus, there's Ed Paris from the 2013 class, and maybe Tony Brown.

I do kind of agree with playing in NOLA makes more sense. But then again I don't really give a frick.

So you're restricting to only people that have been huge impact players? That hardly seems fair. Do the same for Louisiana, I guess Les shouldn't recruit locally.

Jalen Mills started 13 games as a true Frosh.
Craig Loston maybe hasn't been as big of a player as some expected, but he's had a solid career thus far.
Danielle Hunter is expected to do some good things.
That's just this year.

While he wasn't a world beater, where would LSU have been without Jarrett Lee in 2011.

Brandon Lafell had a good career. Ciron Black had a good career.

I say play in Tiger Stadium before playing any game in the Dome. A one hour drive-Jeez and 26,000 more people in the stands and 140,000 at the tailgate

Sure Texas is big for recruiting, but we will always be behind Texas,Oklahoma,AM then LSU for any elite players in Texas. In Florida we seem to have more quality available, New Orleans is home as is Green Bay for Wisconsin. I think Ausberry got so caught up in getting a game in Houston he agreed to anything. LSU has a rank amateur AD and assistant AD as far as scheduling is concerned. Alleva should have been all over the SEC as far as scheduling this year (2013). He just rolls over and takes it. How much money is LSU getting for the game?????? Have they published this???
