The grove is a glorified picnic. You can't grill. You can't cook anything. You bring in table cloths and snotty old people to tell stories of the 50s when Ole Miss was relevant. There is no intimidation. There is no luster. There isn't even a smell of bourbon in the air. It's a family atmosphere with a group of people who have the mentality of a 5' man in an NBA locker room.

That's exactly what I was thinking when I read that. I did not know that. I have never been to Ole Miss but have always assumed their tailgating was right up there because they are constantly at the top of every list with LSU.
A canopy and a bunch of decorations and a chandelier does not make a tailgate party. If you can't at least light a grill, that's not tailgating, that's hanging out. Therefore any top tailgating list that includes Ole Miss is crap.

Florida #6 makes me question thecredibility of this list, lol. In my opinion they are not the 6th best in the Sec, much less the nation.

ESPN will have to start a big PR campaign to let everyone know that the PAC 12 tailgates are really the best.

The Grove is seriously over rated. Full of pop-ups packed so closely together you can't walk, and peopled by the most pretentious people I have ever met. The food consists of wal-Mart finger sandwiches and chicken fingers. The "gourmets" might have a cheese tray and a chafing dish of a lame pasta.
The chandeliers hanging from the middle of the pop-ups aren't there as a tongue in cheek joke, but rather the Ole Miss fans believe this is, in actuality, a real statement of taste and class. It is truly laughable!
The campus is pretty though and the girls are generally attractive.

The grove is an absolute joke. It's full of people who think they are high society but really would be lucky to get elected to the HOA of the neighborhood they live in
