The fact that people agree with that statement with no questions shows that there are many people who really just don't know about LSU basketball. If they did they would realize that this team is the best in the league, they were picked to win the west, they are experienced and have two POY candidates. Saying that it's done with smoke and mirrors is just wrong

that has everything to do with the large media outlets imo...they are uncanny salesmen...i think they have convined many SEC fans that the SEC is void of talent

its absolutely ridiculous this late in the season to have 0 SEC teams ranked...esp when i look at the tail end of the top 25...the fact that this can be done to a majore conference is shameful...the media is esentially equating the SEC to a middle of the road mid major

i do...i mean yes the SEC is down

but how many of them do i actually think pay attention to LSU? not many...we are just now hearing the LSU darhorse talk

any reasonable person who has watched LSU knows this team is good, but the large outlets have pounded the SEC so much that 8 consecutive victories with a double digit average is "smoke and mirror" its a sham

what worse is the fact that we played all the big OOC games so early, and im a firm believer that teams can get significantly better over the course of the season...I think LSU would wipe the floor with A&M now to be honest...but i dont think the outlets are buying into that because of the conference debacle...the team i see know is so much more intense on defense and so much more efficient in scoring than the team that face A&M...not to mention a string of wins does so much for a teams confidence

youve got a legit conference coach of the year, 2 legit conference players of the year, in one of the top blockers in the conference..the team is legit.. i think the lack of media exposure for the SEC overall is really hurting the conference making the sell of the SEC being so atrocious without question that much easier

i agree, i also believe that there is no excuse for anyone to say it

id be thilled to hear the justification for it it, esp after that gritty MSU performance where even the bench had to come in and perform in such adverse conditions
