In ancient days, Babe Ruth stood at the plate and held his bat up signifying the "called shot" and an over fence home run ... people sneered but were wide eyed when he sent towering homers out of the park

I am making a "called shot" here ...

I am hereby predicting LSU will run the table in 2010 and 2011 ... winning 2 consecutive NCs in Phoenix & New Orleans

When it comes right down to it ... You gotta have ... FAITH

Hahah I like how we're already looking ahead to undefeated 2010 and 2011 when we have the undefeated Auburn Tigers at their place this week.

This isn't the Saints.

And I'll believe when Les gets a larger Hat that doesn't cut off blood flow to the brain.

I always thought 2011 would be our next NC year, what with UF, Auburn and Arky at home. Oregon game has me a little worried though

Who coaches LSU in 2011? Because even if Les Miles leads LSU to a NC this year...He has to go

there isn't one game, IMO, that we shouldn't win based on our talent and skill set. We have the best defense in the SEC by far, we have a great running back and a great running game. We have 1 accurate QB with one of the SEC's best receivers (Tolliver), a very good young possession/deep threat receiver (Randle), and an elusive slot receiver (Sheppared). The only way we lose is if we beat ourselves.

If the QB problem is solved, LSU could very well be a NC contender next year. Defense will still be sick, lots of skill still on offense. '11 should be the year.

Just when you think that the rant has hit rock bottom, you dig and find another 20 feet of crap!

So you would fire a Coach who would have won the BCS championship TWICE in 4 years!!!

Same here. I had 11 pegged for us but chances are gettting better every week we put another W up there for 10 to be the year...

Defense and the running game win football games. Converting 3rd downs will be the key to our season.

I think Miles will probably end up costing us a game. I like the guy, and I really do think he is a phenomenal game planner but we always seem to shoot ourselves in the foot (AU 2006, UF 2006, UK 2007, Ole Miss 2009, Penn State 2009, UT 2010, UF 2010). It is inexcusable the abortion that is our QB rotation and his stubbornness with the refusal to ever try running a real wildcat formation (despite the fact that teams have continuously gashed us with it under his tenure). We aren't smart enough to stop it, but we refuse to run it.

I'm not all too sure who we lose for 2011. I'm guessing on defense its PP, Jai, Nevis, and Sheppard.

Do we return the Oline? Our offense should be insanely good next year with Lee at the helm. Our D will be young, but our secondary should be great once again.

Please forgive me. I like Les Miles.

Sorry you did not get my sarcasm. Better yet, sorry my Sarcasm was not clear. My bad.

I was making fun of those unhappy with being 7-0.

People are not unhappy with LSU being 7-0. People are unhappy with the fact that Miles embarrassed the university and team for the 2nd time against UT, and the fact that Miles refuses to bench the clear lesser of the 2 quarterbacks

Being the rant, didn't know if you were sarcastic or serious.

Folks always want the best guy for LSU and if Miles ends winning bowl/sec/BCS games/titles then it would be illogical to let him go , regardless of how we feel about his game coaching/playing styles.

I am not happy with a lot of things, but at this point of the season am going to enjoy 7-0. May not be undefeated long, may be. Didn't think LSU would be undefeated at this point. Miles deserves criticism for some things he has done/hasn't done. But he also deserves credit for the improvement.
