Not when it comes to players... Anyone know where UK is staying? That's gonna be the deciding factor

I'm sure UK is staying close enough where they can just take surface roads to get to the PMAC.

They'll have a police escort. That won't be a problem.

Would be a perfect opportunity for the Birmingham Alabama based SEC offices to screw us over once again and make us play tonight.

I know people say UK and the rest of America is laughing at our freeze but it's way different when it happens down here. First off we have no equipment/ infrastructure to handle the freeze. Second the government practically shuts down the city by declaring a state of emergency. And finally br drivers are shitty enough to begin with they really shouldnt be on the roads in this weather.

That's not what I'm talking about, they aren't going to want to put buses on the road if the roads are covered in ice (which is definitely possible by say 5:30-6:00), escort or not.

Yes they will. I think people are over estimating how much ice will stick to roads. If u are careful u can make it in fat worse shite then we will get

Any surface road that does not have a bridge en route will be perfectly safe. If the bridge is slopped with sand, it should be fine, too. I fully expect the game to go ahead as planned tonight. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it now. :-(

Can you imagine the PR nightmare for the SEC if something happens to the bus on the way? Even a wreck with injuries would be enough to make national news. Anything worse, and multiple people will get fired and lawsuits started. And rightfully so.

Except they have played in conditions far worse.

Oklahoma city got thrashed by ice storm unexpectedly one year (and okc is cut off for salt lay down SK they weren't ready for it all) and it was brutal. Far worse than we will ever get and they played the game

@LSUBasketball 32s
As of 10:30 am CST no change in status for @LSUBasketball and UK at 8 tonight. Plans are being made to play the game.

I made it into town pretty easily last friday. Take Hwy 61 south all the way to Chippewa. Turn right on Chippewa and follow it around onto River Road in downtown. Then turn right onto Nicholson.

There are 2 bridges that may be a problem... Hwy 61 at Thompson Creek and Hwy 61 at the 61/old scenic interchange.
