It works for the NFL. If the #1 seed in the NFL keeps winning in the playoffs, they stay at home. If the #1 seed loses, it goes to the next highest seeds home field. Not sure why this wouldn't work in college baseball.

The host team already has every every advantage in the world.

The ncaa does a couple small things to make it feel like a neutral site. No one here complains about it when WE are SENT to someone's regional.

Any idea if the flip decides who is the home team, or does the team that wins get to decide if they want Home/Away?

A little gamesmanship, I would always chose Away for the "marble game", so I can have the Home game for the 1st game of championship day.
