How can FL, AL, and LSU be on CBS 5 times each? Does CBS broadcast games regionally? Wouldn't that be more games than weekends? What detail am I missing here?

That maybe two of those teams can play on the same weekend (hint: like when they play each other)

Or if there is a Double-header SEC weekend.

Not necessarily. There are 2 DOUBLE-HEADERS (Oct. 2 and Nov. 13). The Nov. 13th "two-fer" could be at 12:00 and 3:30 OR 3:30 and 7:00. HOWEVER, unless CBS is planning on picking up the LSU/ULM game for Nov. 13, I wouldn't hold my breath on that CBS night game.

They do play each other you know and there are a couple of double headers each year.

LSU-Tenn will be on CBS too. They are having a doubleheader that day with Bama-Florida the primetime CBS game.

Auburn might be in the garbage by the time we get to them. That game reeks of ESPN2.

CBS-HD in Alexandria is awful. Compression pixelation and mini-freezes sometimes makes the game unwatchable.

very misleading thread title. I thought for a second you were going to be posting something other than pure speculation

The rampant speculation on this site over TV times is making all this seem like fact.

"Aresco said he expects Alabama to be on CBS five times during the regular season, along with five appearances each by Florida and LSU". I'd call it more than speculation when CBS's Sports Vice-President says he expects it. I'm pretty sure he knows what he's talking about and has looked at weekly matchups.

The LSU/Auburn game is the only one of the 5 that may not set in stone b/c Auburn may suck by that time and CBS passes on the game with other attractive games that day. However, these games are set in stone that LSU will play on CBS: LSU/UT, LSU/UF, LSU/Bama, LSU/Ole Miss (given the horrible SEC schedule that day, the LSU/Ole Miss game is a lock for CBS).

How can Saban bitch about a short week of preparation by playing on Friday? Didn't he coach here for 5 years when we did the exact same thing against Arky? Did he just start his whine now or did he not like it when he was here as well? I need some education.

The above is NOT 100% correct either. I have corresponded with the SEC Offices, CBS Sports, and ESPN Sports Information directors via email-to-email chains. Their response is NOTHING is SET IN STONE and WILL BE SET-UP 2-3 WKS before each game. ALOT of INFO pts to the LSU vs TENN being at NIGHT according to ESPN or at NIGHT on CBS according to CBS IF ARK beats ALABAMA --OR-- TENN beats UF the weeks before LSU vs TENN. So to say LSU vs TENN is SET IN STONE in the afternoon is 100% FALSE !!

Please show me what info you've seen pointing to this? You can't. It doesn't matter if either or both of them lose a game before they play each other, the Bama/UF game is going to be the CBS primetime game. The end. Even with a loss, BAMA & UF will STILL be ranked higher than LSU going into that week. No way CBS picks top 15 LSU vs. an unranked UT over two ranked teams who are the past two national champions for its primetime slot.
