B) Yes, we need Victor, Yes Darcy and Elbert still suck, but lets calm the Hell down. As South said, rebounds were even and they got 15 more FT's than us.

Thats an understatement.

At this point, Malone and Elbert aren't even worthy bench players. Malone is a foul machine and can't play defense, and Elbert just looks like he doesn't want to be here.

We don't need much from Elbert. If he could just play with a little more energy and stay in position on D (and avoid fouling) that would be huge for this team. If he could do that I think he'd be your low post 5 and 5 guy.

I'm concerned that we're going to overuse and wear out Simmons. We need to be able to win with Simmons averaging no more than about 32 mins a game. I'm not sure how we'll do that. Maybe when Victor comes in we'll be able to do that.

Simmons looked more like a true scorer than anything I saw out of him in those higschool games on ESPN. I didn't think it was possible, but I'm even more pumped to see the kid this year

We are not Virginia, we are not Michigan State...we are an uptempo team. We will score more points than the normal team, we will give up more points than the normal team...ACCEPT IT.

We need to start learning to look at points per possession more than points per game to judge our offensive an defensive efficiency. PPG is not always a reasonable barometer due to pace of play.

LSU's defensive efficiency was 3rd in the SEC last season. Not to mention easily best defensively of the up tempo teams last year.

I have always been shocked at how people feel like we don't play defense. If you watch other games besides LSU, you'll notice other teams doing MUCH worse than us.

We had the second best defensive effective FG% and the lowest FT rate defense in the SEC. Our major problem came with offensive rebound % but besides that our defense was stout last year.
