Anyone making the road trip this year, and any suggestions on where to stay in Oxford?

Man I'm ready for some purple and gold up here. I'd recommend The Graduate if you're ok with spending $300 per night. Not sure about Chancellor's House.

If you're a poor like myself just stay in Grenada, MS. Rates are better and it's only like 45 mins from Oxfart

I reccomend looking at places for rent on weekends. Many Ole Miss students rent out apartments for a fee. Can be anywhere between $700-$1500 from Friday-Sunday

Agree with the Graduate. We stayed there a couple of years ago. Great location right off the square. This year we are doing a VRBO. I'm looking forward to it. Oxford is a great trip.

I'm going with 2 old college buddies. One travels a lot for work so our room is free but we booked about a month ago and the Hampton Inn was $400/night that far in advance. I think they're very limited to rooms in Oxford. You may want to check rooms in Memphis. That's where we're flying into

Might want to check Batesville too. A few places to stay there and it's closer than Grenada.

Yeah buddy. Try to find some houses a little further out too. I live just south of Oxford in a cozy little neighborhood and the 7 minute drive into town is easy. Most people get caught up in being walking distance to the stadium even though there's plenty of parking. Not to mention Uber is back if you don't feel like driving at all

Save your money and go to Knoxville. Oxford is terrible. I've never been to Knoxville but I'm going this year.

Stay at the casinos in Tunica. Not a bad drive to Oxford.

I had a blast in Oxford but I was in college and stayed with people who were going to Ole Miss.

Oxford hotels usually fill up fast or charge you out of the arse per night. Batesville has a few hotels and rates aren't usually terrible. If you're okay with driving about an hour I'd suggest trying to stay in Memphis, Grenada, or Tupelo.

I have done it multiple ways. Stayed with buddies who were going there at the time, stayed with buddies who were living there after they graduated, stayed in hotels, etc. The place is really nice but the people are such douches and their tailgating sucks. No music, no cooking, and no beer.

I'm aware the process. I'm a free American, I don't want to have to pour my beer in a cup every time because they want to protect some imaginary vision they have of themselves. The grove sucks, go see it everyone needs to see it once, but you will not choose it for your road venue trip again.
