This game will be the second biggest season opener in the past 20 years behind Oregon. LSU must win this game to have an opportunity to succeed next season. Harris' development must start now as a precision passer so we have an intermediate passing game next year.

Can't wait to welcome an SEC team to Wisconsin.

Good point.
It won't be under the live oaks like in BR. And it won't be in the beer gardens and house parties in Madison.

But with it being the opening game in nice weather at Lambeau...it will be pretty epic.

A very weak defensive front seven is going to be in trouble. That game could be a preview of what is to come against other power running teams like Bama and Arkansas.

Are you saying that LSU's front 7 will be weak?? If so, I disagree. LSU will be good on defense next year.

It doesn't snow in Wisconsin in September.

The game last year in Houston was absurd. Every bar was running out of beer

Well no fricking shite Sherlock

I'm saying the game would be better in classic lambeau style in the snow, thus implying the game would hypothetically be later in the year

I think the dl will be ok but not great. We still don't have the horses we normally do there.

The LBs are going to be very bad if Beckwith leaves. Alexander, Riley, and Voorhies and some walk ons and true freshman. None of which is right now an sec caliber starter.

The likes of Wisconsin, Florida, Bama, and Arkansas are going to be rough on LSU's from 7. It's a shame that miles has let it come to this because everything else will be in place for a run next season.

Any of you guys staying staying in Appleton?

Given Wisconsin isn't much outside of Madison and Milwaukee, the Fox Valley Area (Appleton and surrounding towns) has pretty decent nightlife. I imagine for a game/weekend of this magnitude, both Appleton and Green Bay will be fun.

On Packer game days, bars in the Appleton area typically have shuttles that take you up to Lambeau Field, so it is pretty convenient. Gives you plenty of time to get there, have some drinks, get up to Lambeau and tailgate, and head into the game.

In any case, I'll be staying in Appleton.

Going to be a fun weekend.

Wisconsin is not Ohio State, Michigan State, or Michigan. I expect LSU to win by at least two touchdowns and the game to never really be in doubt.

The badgers have had weak recruiting classes lately and they haven't been able to develop their talent. Their records are based on being in the weaker Big Ten West and lame non-conference schedules.

Michigan State has been one of the elite teams in the country since 2010 with five seasons of 11+ wins, three conference titles, and four consecutive bowl wins.

Michigan is a historically better program than Wisconsin, but since Penn State's inception into the B1G, only Ohio State has won more conference titles than Wisconsin. No doubt with Jim Harbaugh, they are on the upswing. Not terribly shocking given the resources and history of that program.

Ohio State is... well, Ohio State.

Not sure the point of your first sentence rant, since I have said nothing about Wisconsin being "Ohio State, Michigan State, or Michigan."

You might be right, but give me something to work with. Why do you think this?

The Badgers have always had "weak" recruiting classes. They typically finish in the 30's and 40's in recruiting rankings. This is nothing new, but I suppose you missed the fact that Wisconsin will likely finish with a Top-25 recruiting class this cycle.

This is what happens when you have a stable recruiting staff that includes coaches that grew up, played, and coached in Madison. They understand the culture (tougher academic requirements for athletes, the developmental-nature of the program, the City of Madison's progressive class, and the opportunities a UW-Madison degree can bring).

Wisconsin has been a very good program over the last 25 years. Simple.

Yeah and have nothing to show for it. Bret Belima leaves and then the guy after him leaves because you do not have a very good program over the last 25 years.

Barry Alvarez and your revolving door of Chancellors and Presidents haven't cared about football in awhile. Plus you somehow in your dumb hubris thought you were a very good football program when you in fact played for ZERO national championships and everyone of your Rose Bowls had absolutely nothing to do with the national championship. The problem with Wisconsin is that you somehow thought you were good. You have an over inflated view of your program.

Alvarez and his chosen successors haven't even come close to what Michigan State has done and you had an initial advantage. While MSU sputtered for about 10 years you guys just thought you have a real good program and never wanted to get to the next level and lo and behold MSU with a worse program in the last 25 years has suddenly surpassed you. Heck even Iowa is a better program than you and Minnesota is making strides.

You never had a really good program and you certainly won't now given your budget troubles and how your state government is ruining your University System.
