I think this is the only victory that LSU has at Notre Dame. It was a 10-7 victory where LSU came from behind to win. I liked this team - Bill Arnparger as coach. The offense had Dalton Hilliard, Gary James, Eric Andolsek, Nacho Albergamo, Sammy Martin, Rogie Magee, Wendell Davis and Jeff Wickersham. The D had the great Henry Thomas, Michael Brooks, Toby Gaston, Karl Wilson, Kevin Guidry and others. The Notre Dame team had Steve Beuerlein and Tim Brown.

I think LSU won there again later, but that was the first time any SEC team had won at South Bend.
there were 4 of us in a married student housing apartment frying shrimp, drinking beer, and stressing over that game on TV.

Ever heard of Thomas Paul Hodsen? Pretty important player too.

I was there with my family. It was one stop on our vacation.
Bleacher seats were 2x6s! It was a miserable stadium.

There with my brother and Dad. Really got the better of them moreso than the score, but missed three field goals.

If you add up all the points we're winning. W/L record doesn't matter.

I was there for regular season 97. Worst experience ever in Tiger Stadium. Freezing cold and raining and my tickets were in the Norte Dame section.
Kevin Faulk was the only Tiger that showed up to play that day.

2014
Didn't something happen at the end? Blown call or a bad spot?

This is my exact experience as well. My wife worked for an accounting firm in Lafayette, one of whose owners gave us the tickets. He is a Notre Dame alum, hence the location. As miserable as that was, I will say that the Irish fans, though boisterous as any college fans, we actually pretty nice. I grew to hate that "Here come the Irish" crap, though.
I was tickled LSU got to go to the Independence bowl and curb stomp the Irish.
As a side note, the other partner in that firm was "Tigue" Moore's grandson.

Was Allen Pinkett on that ND team? I know he ran all over us in Tiger Stadium the next year.

The irish player was given a td on 4th down when he was CLEARLY a foot short of the goal line. On the replay review, there was no one angle that showed he was short, but the announcers said you can't "piece together" multiple angles to change a call on replay review. That is bullspit though, because i've seen "pieced together replay" overturn calls before including a game that escapes memory just last saturday.

me too. I was seated low in the endzone and had a view of Casanova dropping the interception.

I have a game ball my dad got from this game as he was giving a lot of money to whatever the TAF forerunner at that time was
