course not. This fan base is still wanting to fire him over losing a single game in January of 2012.

We've been blown out 5x (not counting msu where we came back late) in the last 3 years. We've gotten worse on D and are still struggling on offense.

It's more than just 1/12 now. If we've lost 5 in a row to Bama, blown out twice by Arkansas.

Steele was just a head scratching hire given his lack of success and history of failure as a DC

Its funny how we blame the d on someone. What about O's DL? I mean you guys are so quick to try to lay blame on someone and just go for the least popular candidate....without really trying to understand the root cause.

Orgeron has a limited number of players to work with and had done well with the few guys he rotates.

I would say every single one of these teams had to rebuild except for Ohio State.

I understand a new hire's success won't be based upon the past two coach's, just wanted to point how good we've had it. Some don't see this and expect the next guy to just be as good if not better as the last two. In other words....we have become a spoiled fan base.

It's that no one wants to come here and have their play calls overruled or argue with the HC long enough to waste time outs in order to avoid delay of game penalties and THEN get blamed because the offense sucks when they're not even able to run their own offense

You think an OC is gonna care what the HC thinks thats about to get fired?...think youre thinking about it the wrong way... The new OC is the saving grace in this case bud, he would be saving Miles arse. Or just hire a guy that doesnt give a shite...A guy that says to himself, aint nothing holding me back, gonna call what I want to call... yeah I dont know too many alpha male football coaches either...

LSU is not up a creek. That's the unique and very strong position that LSU is in right now. The "program" is pretty much at its all time high. Recruiting has never been better. Because of that, as long as that remains the case, LSU will be able to hit the ground running with the next coach.

If Miles keeps Cameron...and they fail next year, and a change is made, the program is instantly ready to move forward.

If Miles gets rid of Cameron, can't make a good hire, and therefore they fail next year causing a change, the new coach will be able to hit the ground running.

LSU is in a GREAT position. It's why I'm not worried about keeping Miles too long. If I were AD, I'd allow Miles to keep Cameron if he wants. The program is getting ready for a change win or lose. If Miles were to turn it completely around, I still think he's only got 2-3 years.

If I were AD we certainly wouldn't be having this discussion.

Next year, LSU is going to be very good and Miles will get a contract extension after next season.

Is the offensive philosophy going to suddenly and dramatically change? Will the QB who has shown little to no improvement all year suddenly get it? Will the shitty game plans, repeated dumb penalties and flat efforts of the majority of the last 11 years suddenly disappear? The Oline will be younger. The DL will still be thin, and we'll have a giant hole in the LB spots. If this isn't Miles' last year, next year will be.

I know this is a pipe dream, but imagine what Chip Kelly could do with the talent that comes through LSU.

I'd love to see that.

Thank god we have fans like you to belittle our coach. Without all these armchair quarterbacks we would be mired in mediocrity due to the administration and fans who support the team regardless not wanting to win. I can smell the excellence seeping out of you.

The man all you haters idolize, Saban, talks about the 20% or more of shitty fans that make college football worse for fans, players, and coaches and yet none of you realize he is talking about you.

Cam is going nowhere . That's not Miles style. They will both be back and go out more quietly after next year .....
