I seriously hope they seriously discount the tickets. This is a flaming joke. Charging me bama money to watch Harvard on the Bayou?

How do you not yet have enough pull with LSU to do something about this?

The Colonels proved themselves against UGA so LSU was convinced they are a worthy challenge.

Home and home? Or neutral site with the Nichols side being at Gravois Park in vacherie, home of the Vacherie Rams?

Meh, I have no issue with an in state cupcake for homecoming or as a home opener. I am not against this.

Honestly, we are going to play two cupcakes at home (JSU, USA, USM etc.). I have no issue rotating the Division I FBS schools (La Tech, Tulane, ULL, and ULM) and the FCS schools (SLU, Nichols, Nwstrn St, Grambling, McNeese, and Southern). We would see them once every four years for FBS and once every six years for FCS schools. With a larger Tiger Stadium, we are actually having trouble selling out against the JSU and USA type schools. 5000 empty seats adds up over time. We are probably paying the in state schools less as well. It seems like a win / win for all involved. Just my .02.

This game will be played at LSU.

quote:

Nicholls second-year head coach Tim Rebowe said having a game in Baton Rouge is huge for his program. “We’ve never been to Baton Rouge and some of the other (Football Championship Subdivision) teams in our state have played there,” Rebowe said.

“I know Southeastern (Louisiana) will get to go there, we will get to go there and it is big for us. It is good for the whole state when you can get a game between Nicholls and LSU.”

Nicholls will also play at Tulane in 2018 and that will be the first-ever meeting between the two football programs.

Just gonna leave these here

LINK

Arkansas 73 Nicholls State 7

LINK

(Division II) Henderson State 27 Nicholls State 10

I mean Division II - not FCS like a North Dakota State. Henderson State is a small school out of Arkadelphia, Arkansas with only about 4000 students. You've probably driven past it going to games vs Arkansas without really realizing it

This is just insane to me
