If I had told you at the beginning of the year that LSU tight ends would catch 27 balls for 420 yards and 3 scores, what would you have said?

"We must have fired Les early on in the year"

For comparison to past two years:

2016: 27 / 420 / 3
2015: 16 / 214 / 1
2014: 12 / 129 / 1

Basically more production than last two years combined.

I'd have said we still didn't use the TE enough, but that we were trending in the right direction. Dickson used to put up similar stat lines by himself.

I definitely wouldn't have expected us to have 4 loses.

Pathetic is a better word.

There are college and pro tight ends that get that in 1 game.

I would've said "oh they are going to fire Cam and elevate Ensminger to OC?"

Just wait until next year. Canada loves getting the ball to the TEs. We will see lots of passes on RPO roll-out plays.

Desean Smith was absolutely a wasted talent at lsu. He will likely make an NFL roster, but should have been a feature during college. He got robbed by Cameron and miles.

I wonder who that go to TE will be, Moreau doesn't really seem like "That" guy. More of an inline blocker. Pettigrew and Washington are some big dudes.

Smith, Washington and pettigrew have been three of the most wasted players in lsu history.

Smith is a legit NFL talent

I think Washington and Pettigrew are going to be great in this system. They are built like the TEs that dominate the NFL right now; big, lean, and athletic. I still remember Washington winning the receiver challenge in the All American game, so he does have some great hands.
