I'm not positive, but I think this year is the first year.

Lets wait for Tuesday. That's the poll that matters from now on.

The biggest joke about that poll is Bama being 6 spots ahead of Ole Miss

So if Ole Miss lost every remaining game, Alabama has to drop with them simply because they lost to them?

You don't get it. Alabama can be a better overall team than Ole Miss even if they lost to them. And their record shows that right now.

West Virginia beat Baylor,
and it doesn't matter how but LSU was one play away from beating State. Maybe closer if CLM doesn't go for 2 after those early TD's.

I have no problem with our ranking at 17. We are the highest ranked 2 loss team and are ahead of 1 loss Utah and ECU. However, having Michigan State ahead of Oregon and Bama that far ahead of a team that beat them . Hopefully the committee fixes this since they use head to head as a criteria (not holding my breath though). Guess we will have to wait until tuesday.

We are the highest ranked 2 loss team so it's not too bad.

Honestly thought we'd be higher

Same.

We missed a chip-shot FG, dropped 2 easy interceptions, lost the turnover battle by 3 and still ran roughshod over the "#1 defense" in the country.

What this tells me is that the coaches voting didn't watch the game, they just looked at the box score.
