I went the last time LSU played there. We ended up pulling away with the game.

No issues. But that could have been because Tennessee wasn't that good back then -- and some will may the case that they still aren't.

As far as the stadium goes ... well you're going to be packed in their like a can of sardines. It's really a tight fit and I am not exaggerating.

But I liked my time up there. Did a boat cruise and went to Calhoun's on the River the night before the game. Also, had a very good steak at Ye Olde Steak House.

Went in 2006.... great fans from my and my wife's experience. Now I've only been to maybe 10 - 12 away venues, not all SEC, but Knoxville was our best experience. And yea, tight squeeze seating wise.

The Vols will be Life Champions again this year.
That's all you need to know.

Fans aren't a problem. Parking is.

When we went in 2011 we parked out by the hotel where a bunch of fans were staying, Knoxville Marriott on James White Parkway, which is where we met some friends from Baton Rouge in their RV.

Drank a few beers, caught a $5 bus to the stadium, caught the bus back after the game, waited for traffic to clear, no issues.

It's night and day different than 2011. They've done a ton around campus and on the strip

Jammed packed in is no exaggeration. Be prepared to sit with your knees up in your chest & rubbing elbows with the guy next to you. Calhouns is a must; there were LSU fans tossing Mardi Gras beads off the second balcony & the UT fans/waitresses had no clue. Ran out of kegs before 10:00 that nite. If a nite game, go there in the a.m. & get a good seat on the patio.

Went in 2011 and it was ok, but nothing great. The crowd was involved for the first half or so. LSU pulled away and the fans just relaxed for the rest of the game. Nobody in orange even really spoke to us, and we were the only purple shirts amongst about 500 orange. No animosity but kind of ambivalent.

We have a cabin close to Knoxville, and we're planning on seeing the game this year. Really excited for the tigers to finally come to TN.

We're expecting the tickets to be cheap by then since we are a late season game for them, and they are not very good this year. I'm expecting them to have already lost to Georgia, Florida, and Bama by then. Better for our wallets.

I've been several times starting in 1983. Absolutely worst stadium in the SEC in every aspect.

I have been several times. The fans are fine. Among the nicest I have encountered and I've been to every SEC campus. The stadium is the most uncomfortable stadium I have ever been in. There is absolutely no leg room and they jam 100,000+ in a stadium that should hold 85,000. Get to your seat early and stake out your ground and do not move until the game is over.
