Haven't heard much about the late game targeting call.

Was it legit?

Who was it, and can we afford to lose them half of next game?

Tory Carter it was legit and he doesn’t really play in our offense anymore. Maybe on special teams

Very legit. Tory Carter head hunted the dude on a touchback.

Late game? It was the opening kickoff of the second half.

I was nervous Delpit was gonna get one on their TD

ETA: not the TD but another play Delpits forearm hit the receivers head

Textbook targeting

Somehow I knew who it was before I saw the play

Meaning more, the second half, making his suspension upheld through the first half of the next game.

This reminds me of someone’s quote earlier in the season. “Troy Carter is a national treasure”

agreed. Clear forcible contact to the head or neck area of a defenseless receiver. Really surprised Delpit didn't get hit with a targeting call.

To all those idiot posters who think refs hate LSU -- I think the refs (and video replay officials) kept their flag in their pocket because they didn't want Delpit kicked out of the playoff game.

Poor decision by that player. I will say that I’m only a fan of the targeting rule when it is pretty clear. This was pretty clear. No need for it. Contrast with DW last year- much different.

That guy made a bad decision and should be held out. You can’t do that. Got to be better sportsman than that, even when emotion is high.
