By teams like that do you top 5 teams with a top 30 SOS, top 11 defense, and a top 35 offense, cause I have seen him lost to teams just like those before in the past.

Hitch, Utah exploited the hell out of Bama's OT with Fatso being suspended. What the hell do you think they would have done to a mediocre pass blocker like Ciron Black?

Nicky will stick around for two more years at most, and then bolt to the NFL again, just sayin'. Jeez, string two successful years together and the Gumps start coming out of the woodworks.

i honestly could see nick sitting there another 5/6 seasons and then moving up to AD type roll. i doubt he does back to NFL in his 60's. he wont continue to go undefeated in regular season of sec though.

I can't remember what it was, but Matt Moscona (sp?) actually stumbled his way into a point that really made me think Nicky had his eye on the NFL. Its killing me that I can't remember what it was, but it was something Nicky said.

oh i don't doubt he still thinks about it. i mean he went 15-17 which is not horrible but not what he expected. the mman hates to fail and sees that as mediocre so he wants another shot. i just can not see him jumping back into nfl at 62/63 years old.

Holy shite, I just wiki'd him, I had no idea he was 59. Given this vital piece of information, I still think he'd take a look if he has a good year next year with Bama. There wouldn't be too much more he could do at the college level, and it doesn't seem like he's the type to stick around forever (a la Bowden or the corpse at Penn State).

andre smith, one of shula's OL was suspended, and taken in the first round. saban blamed the loss on him. "fatboy" cody did play.

Lsu had a good ol in 2008. Ciron was 2nd team all-sec & first team all-sec as a senior.

there could be some attractive jobs in nfl next season. dallas could be open, carolina, san diego if norv fails again, but given his age i doubt he goes. no team would offer him a contract that would blow him away i think. the players in the nfl don't respond to him way he likes, he wont have total control, i just cant see it. although it wouldnt surprise me either knowing how much he hates being only mediocre in nfl so far.

Thats pure muscle right there.

Ciron Black Still Unsigned

Not dumping on a past player, but his pass blocking wasn't what I would call "NFL Quality".
